The people at Bravo are masters of the bait and switch. I think what happened last season was that deliberation over the truffle dishes went on for a long time, and in order to trick the audience, the editors only showed the criticism of Dave's mac and cheese. I'm guessing since he won that there was also a ton of praise heaved his way, but those shots were cut from the final product.
I'm enjoying Season Two, but it really does pale in comparison with Season One. In Season One the chefs seemed a lot more talented, and there was a bit of drama, but we weren't beaten over the head with it, which is exactly what's going on now. Also in Season One I actually liked some people. I loved Harold, LeeAnn, Candance, and Andrea, although the last two didn't last too long, whereas in this season, the only person I like so far is Cliff, and even he is on thin ice. I tell you, if LeeAnn were a contestant on Season Two, she would be blowing everyone else away.

Tonight's show is an extra 15 minutes long. I wonder who will be packing their knives this evening. I think Michael's time on this show is growing short. He's a likeable guy, but doesn't appear to be as skilled as some of the other chefs.

From the previews it looks like it's another "everyone gang up on Marcel" night--but with Bravo, the clips could be misleading.

There was some bruhaha going on over in Marcel's thread at TWoP where they said that Ilan apparently has been a real bastard. They said that there was some evidence ( I didn't really check too much into it - but I think it's a film clip on the Bravo site) where Ilan had been pretending to be Marcel's friend to his face and then trashing him behind his back. So I wonder if any of that has to do with the preview clips tonight? |

Yeah, Sam is getting ultra-snotty. Marcel can be as obnoxious as he wants, but he doesn't go around cursing people out.
