In the Fauxmoi sub, there is a thread asking which celebs are intelligent. Someone mentioned Ben Affleck to which another replied "An Ivy League brain with Dunkin Donuts tastes." Never a more apt description of Ben. Honestly, that's the MA vibe. It's our schtick really. Even our WORST schools are still better than other schools in other states. So kids who grow up working and middle class get solid educations, and even when we move out of the working into the middle and out of middle into the upper, we don't like to put on airs and act all erudite and shit. We still act like townies. It's why we call each other asshole and shitstick as a sign of love. |

I have to admit it, my favorite commercial was Ben’s. The fact that Matt and Jen (again!) agreed to go all in and support Ben on his one true love… Dunkin Donuts.

I read an article with Ben and it reminded how much I used to like him in the nineties and how smart and articulate - and what a complete dumbass he is. He could have it all but he is his own worst enemy. I just think it’s sad when you are a talented director, you have three great kids, you are a zillionaire with a lot of professional success and you still are a mess. Work on yourself, Ben! Bringing this over from JLo's thread because I think Ben really is his own worst enemy. He's like the guy who got three wishes, but has no idea how to cope with any of the things he's wished for. What Ben needs is a good counselor and to quit any substances and gambling, but he won't do it. |
