Honestly, I think he's starting to look like Jennifer Garner, lol.

I also think he's a good director (and writer too). He's not a great actor though - not terrible, just not compelling in any way, but actors want to act so...

Yeah, this was evident from his biggest early success, he and Matt Damon co-wrote Good Will Hunting but made the choice to feature Matt as the lead and Ben's role was pretty miniscule.

Those GIFs are hilarious. He's always had the best face for GIFing. I do think people are making too much out of his lack of interest/interactions with his wife on that night. Many people are bored at their spouse's work events.

He does have great expressions for GIFs and these 2 really give good gossip. It's not sad, like the Britney stuff, and it's not too deep, they're just kinda ridiculous personalities who live their lives on camera.

I saw Tom and Lorenzo chiding people for joking about BA when he clearly suffers from depression and anxiety. My thought was, “There are plenty of people who suffer from those things and/or are massive introverts who still manage to go to events to support their spouse without looking like someone is holding a gun to their head.” He married JLo, he knows this is part of it, and was more than happy to canoodle for the paps.

But I guess they have a point in the greater picture in that his depression may keep him from being truly happy. Maybe he gets married because he’s chasing happiness and thinks the honeymoon phase he’s in will last forever, and it never does. It wears off and his old demons come crawling back. Post-divorce he was probably looking at JLo and just remembered the good times so he jumped back in. JLo is terrible at relationships and me, so she leaps back in too. They have their romance documented by the paps again. He gives her extravagant gifts and they are so happy. But the demons always crawl back. He can only keep them away for so long. I agree he was able to hang on with JG for so long because of the kids, but he’s got no such spackle to keep things together with JLo.

I just wanted to say I liked his take on an older, sort of grizzled Batman. And I thought he looked hot in those movies. SORRY

I'm trying to have empathy for a weathly, white cis-het man who willingly married J Lo knowing she will show up to an opening of a napkin. He has the resources to treat his addictions (thanks, Dad Affleck-Boldt!). Sorry, I have none. Ben wasn't good in Jersey Girl, which also was with J Lo. Kevin Smith might still have resentment for the media circus they caused and he and Ben may not be on good terms.

Casey seems to stay sober, actively visit his children, and may have a amicable relationship with his ex-wife. Since he's not in the tabloids, I'm assuming he's living his best life while looking at his Best Actor Oscar for Manchester by the Sea. Sorry, I love an underdog story, cancan.

Direct, write, and smile at events I have dreamed to attend but never will, you ungrateful bastard!

I didn't see his Batman, but I thought he looked really good (and acted fine) in Argo. In fact, he won me over with Argo, after an extended period of not liking him. Of course, he has since completely squandered all that good will.

I can sympathize with his struggles with anxiety and depression but he has a huge narcissistic streak that makes me draw the line. I think I've said this before with regard to him, but women who struggle with addiction don't get the layers of safety nets and chances at redemption that men do. When things are down with Ben he still wants to be coddled and I think it's evident that he has never been willing to do the hard internal work to change. But somehow he bounces back and starts a new cycle. I thought the staged pap strolls with Ana de Aramis during Covid were particularly icky so I'm not going to blame the current level of over-saturation all on JLo.

Two things:

- There was a woman on Tik Tok yesterday who was a seat-filler at the Grammys and actually sat next to J Lo and Ben for awhile (she had pics, so legit). She said he did look cranky, however he and JLo were pretty lovey-dovey and at one point she even showed up a meme on her phone that was already up of his Grammy RSF (Resting Sad Face).

- They're doing a Super Bowl commercial for Dunkin. So I guess he can cross that off his bucket list.

There's little doubt in my mind that the two of them have a fundamental difference of opinion on how much their relationship needs to be put on display for public consumption. I don't have a lot of sympathy for Ben pouting over that one. I knew how important it was to JLo to trot her relationships out for attention before they married, and I've never met her!

I just watched the trailer for Air and think it looks great. Ben is directing and playing Phil Knight. First time he’s directing Matt Damon; it’s got Jason Bateman, who I enjoy watching and Viola Davis for extra clout. Could be a winner.
