This show is becoming Must See TV in my house, mostly because it's something I can watch with my husband and 8 year old son and know I won't be explaining anything worse than probabilities to my kid. Why two hours in one night though? I know NBC wants to milk it for all it's worth, but not all at once!
And there was a woman on last night who led the crowd in a long chant of "No Deal" dialogue, causing me to develop a tic and struggle with myself not to turn the channel. Enought with the cutesy crap, NBC, I'm not having it!

I agree, LurkerNan, it's good TV for the whole family. Our kids love it and get all caught up in the drama. That annoying woman from last night got on my last nerve...between the nasal twang and her chanting with the audience, I just wanted to throw something at the TV. Her geeky hubby in the lime green shirt* didn't help her cause much, either.
*with apologies to any geeky husbands in lime green shirts who are members of CPMCoG ;D

I was thrilled with the woman who won $375,000. I was afraid she was going to keep going. But, after taxes and paying off the loan, she won't have any money to buy a coat.
BTW: What did annoying woman end up leaving with? She was too stupide for me to continue to watch.

Man, I can't believe the suitcases in the US go up to a million. In Australia, the highest amount you can win is a paltry $200,000 Australian. That's only about 145,000 US dollars. Our networks are cheapskates!

They have a Deal or No Deal in Australia? Man, I wish I could get international programming on cable. I'd be watching the Aussie version of The Biggest Loser, America's Next Top Model, and now DOND, etc...
Didn't they promise us that paying for cable would allow us to watch all this nifty overseas stuff back in the day?

LurkerNan -- They have the Aussie version of Top Model on Showtime. It's sooooo much better produced and they actually take people of model ages (hello 14 year old girls) and they have guys competition this season. It's pretty cool. Of course I haven't wanted to vomit when one of the judges tries to lecture them on morality, since they don't.
micedvolvo -- who is the host of the Australian version. Do they bring the crazy like Howie does with his OCD because you know he's dying a little each time a randome stranger gets their germs on him?

Showtime? I get Showtime!
But when when when? I can't find it on the Showtime schedule... What's the name of it?
Hey I just became God. Hmmph, always thought that would probably be in the Britney thread.

ShawnaLanne, the host here, Andrew O'Keefe is not so much crazy but more smarmy. It's weird - I actually remember the guy from my undergraduate days - he was part of the comedy/theatresports crowd on campus and was involved in the Law Revues for a couple of years. So, like your guy he's meant to be a comedian, but no sign of OCD unfortunately.

The cute blonde incredibly annoying elementary school teacher? She teaches at my son's school. I hope she gets around to having that baby in about 2 years, so I can be sure my son won't be in her class. Ugh! I was so embarrassed to be watching her, and I haven't even ever actually met her. I really did not need to know all that crap about her husband and the mortgage and the babies, and the "chant" was just the last straw.
$96K. I think she had $400 in her case?
My husband seems to be hooked on this show now. He likes telling all the contestants how stupid they are.
