I actually enjoyed the show. I'm going to keep watching! Me too! I watched the show on the original run and I've seen the reruns countless times so I am the prime audience for this reboot. Still, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it going in, since I didn't know how it would really work and not everyone was going to return (even before Luke Perry passed away). But this surprised me. I liked it and I'll keep watching. |

What is this thing? A reality show, a scripted reality show, a fictional show where they are playing themselves as caricatures, what? Is it something too meta-meta-meta for my tiny mind to comprehend?

They aren’t breaking new ground and objectively it isn’t “good” but it has its moments of entertainment and it's fun watching them poke fun at themselves. |

I enjoyed some bits of it, but it did take me awhile to figure out exactly what they were going for. I was only a casual 90210 watcher back in the day and quit on it probably around the time that Brenda left, so I'm not completely sure I'll get references from back then. Also, some of jokes directed at themselves were a little hard to find funny, particularly Tori's bits. You grew up with more money than God, but now that you have a whole bunch of kids and ZERO understanding of money, you're broke and desperate. Haha...I guess? Also, her face is REALLY hard to look at. I know she's had plenty of surgery through the years, but it's almost like she has the kind of facial foundation that can't be fixed by any amount of surgery. Very odd. |
