Oh come on. I can't believe there's not a thread for this.
So has anyone bought the DVDs yet? I am going to get them, either today or tomorrow, despite the fact that I have the first three seasons on VHS. I am SO excited...but not excited about them replacing the music yet.

I did! Target has them with the soundtrack as a bonus but they were sold out last night so I went to Circuit City, where they were $37.99. I haven't gotten deep into them yet. I skipped the Pilot since I saw it on the Labor Day marathon and went right to Dylan's 1st ep. I'm a little surprised that Perry became such a huge teen idol because Preistly was so much more the pretty boy at the time. But I guess you have that Betty/Veronica bad boy/good boy dichotomy. Perry was no Jordan Catalano or anything. Do you still post on the TWoP 90210 thread?

Yes I do, as I can! I don't have a computer at home, so I could only access it from work...thus, the control-freak IT guy BLOCKED TWOP from here. Very maddening. So last night I went to the library and posted like a crazy person.
Best Buy has it for $36.99.
"Mad, bad and dangerous to know. That's him and that's me."
HA.

It's out on DVD, it's on DVD *does a happy dance* The Brenda years are the best and the only seasons I plan on buying. After Shannen Doherty left, I lost interest in the series.
Last season on the O.C. when they were trying to get Marissa back to into the rich school, I couldn't help but chant "Let Marissa Cooper graduate! Let Marissa Cooper graduate!"
Donna Martin getting drunk at the prom and then not allowing to walk is up there with Jessie Spano's "I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so scared" as the top cheesy moments.
I bought it through Amazon at $35.87.

Hold on---so they did replace the music? Does that mean I won't hear Brenda listening to Losing My Religion after her and Dylan break up, whenever that season is released? And for future seasons, will they be taking out the musical guests? Man, that sucks. I'd rather have a bootleg DVD that included the original music.
I'm still psyched about this finally coming out on DVD. Whenever I'd see new DVDs of TV shows at stores, I'd yell at Mr. JDTB "This crap is on DVD but 90210 isn't? WHY? WHY?"

I've been catching some of the Season 9 reruns on SoapTV or whatever, and gawd DAMN, they sucked the first time around, but now they really, really, REALLY suck. Fuck continuity!

Loved Brenda, HATED Kelly! Jennie Garth's top lip isn't long enough to contain her overbite and 2 front rabbit teeth and it always bugs the hell outta me whenever I see a picture of her. Someone please give her a carrot and a kick in the crotch!

Well, all I know for sure is that someone on TWOP said that "Mony Mony" is out of the slumber party ep (which is fine w/ me) and that "Policy of Truth" is not in that one when Brandon wants to cheat on his history test. Which...kind of sucks.
PLEASE let them not get rid of all of the REM. And "Betty Boo is doin' the do," and "Hippychick," and "The Time of My Life"....DORKS.

I am a Brenda fan for life. It's funny. I never really appreciated the Brenda character until after she left the show. There was just this huge void that nobody could fill. Not even Tiffany Amber Thiessen. And Kelly, like Brandon, got more and more loathsome and self righteous each season. Yet for somebody who was supposedly so smart and the "heroine" of the show she sure did get herself into alot of stupid situations. She and Brandon truly deserved each other.
