Candace just looked really bad. Sort of puffy and old. I think it was her outfit. She was wearing a white dress shirt, long turquoise skirt with this weird silver indian looking sort of cowboy belt. It was an odd choice and it was completely not flattering at all.

when did Mirren say "ass over tits" I missed that. Thought she looked radiant.

When she went to accept her award she walked very slowly up to the stage and then said something at the microphone about how she it is a great achieivement that she didn't go ass over tits as she tried to walk up the stairs.

I loved the thank you speech from that guy who won for My Name Is Earl. He's the one who said he didn't want to thank people so he named people he did not thank for this award. Like his social studies teacher who always told him to shut up and sit down or his boss on Step By Step who made him scrape gum off a producer's shoes. Heh.

That was the best acceptance speech of the evening. And Queen Helen's of course.
Stephen and Jon were awesome. Conan's bit about folks watching the Emmys the next day? Funny because it was true in my case.

I was looking at the pictures of the dresses today and Jen Lurve Hughit (ugh) looks like she packed on some pounds. The too dark long hair and the curvy body ages her well beyond her years. She looks like she has developed birthing hips.

JLH has always been curvy, but really skinny. Now that she's eaten a sandwich her natural shape is coming through. I think she looks great.

All things considered, I'm pretty happy about how it turned out. Andre Braugher should win every award known to man, up to and including the Heisman Trophy, so I was glad to see him holding an Emmy.

The Emmy's never go the way I want. And I'm pissed I missed the opening because we decided to watch Big Brother. Especially when I saw that some (humorless) people were offended and said it was tacky because of that plane crash earlier in the day. But what I saw of Conan was fabulous, and my favorite part was when he introduced the Ernst and Young accountants.

My mom was super pissed that the Academy let them have an extended Deal or No Deal promo in the middle of the broadcast.

I hate that they have these overblown tributes during the broadcast, but then cut the speeches at the end entirely too short.

The outfit was definitely bad, but something else is definitely going on. Go on Getty Images and look at her the last few months- she looked beautiful in May.

I gasped when I saw her on screen- her face just looked so puffy. It almost looks like she's on steroids for some medical condition.

Yeah, I noticed the weightgain over the last couple of months, too, but I thought it was just age. After all she´s 60.
