I thought the show was interesting and great casting all aound except for Johnny Lee Miller. He was awful. He has zero presence on-screen, so it's pretty interesting to come on-line and read all these positive comments about him. Guess he's someone I just don't get.
Unfortunately, this show is from Wells (the guy behind ER), so I am guessing it's going to get unwatchable pretty fast.

Loved it! It looks kinda like Thief, the 6-episode series that ran on FX this spring. And I loved that, too.

Well, he only pinched the pussy--ahem--so he could put Jonny Lee Miller's tracking ankle thingy on it. He did give the feline a mighty kick when he thought it was getting to close to his food. That cat flew in the air! I think his character is going to be interesting. He's obviously a sociopath. Shooting the locals in the head, after they chased him off their surf spot was very cold blooded. I like seeing him in a not so nice role. Virginia Madsen looked great. I also loved seeing that gorgeous Iranian actress who was in The House of Sand and Fog. She's very talented. Great cast. I hope they have a lot of interesting heists line up.

Shohreh Aghdashloo. I LOVE her, and I tend to think of her presence as a sign that the show might be very good. She's totally what I want to look like when I'm in my fifties. Too bad I'm a pale red head. Interesting. I assumed he was on a freelance solo job, and the reason he was on that beach was to assassinate those guys. Now that I think about it, maybe that doesn't make that much sense. On the one hand, it's kind of weird he had the rifle with him. On the other, he doesn't really live anywhere, so maybe he carries everything with him, and those guys were just goons. Who would hire him to kill them? Did I miss something in the whole exchange? It's possible I might have been on my second glass of wine of the night by that time. She's definitely one of those women who's improving with age. She looked gorgeous. It's really nice to see her getting good work. The curse of the Supporting Actress Oscar Nomination obviously didn't work on her.

I think he might've shot them so he could steal their car. I think. I didn't get much out of the first few minutes because my station kept shrinking the screen to show election results in a crawl on the bottom half.

Yeah, that's what I thought at first, but then there was no mention of it being a job. So, I just took it that they pissed him off and he shot them and stole their car. I could be wrong though. It happened pretty fast.

I watched the repeat of the premiere tonight. But damn it! I turned it on right after Simon Baker stopped surfing.
It was okay, but it was kinda like I had expected it to be. They were robbing a museum or something, and one of the criminals got shot, and then the next 10 minutes of the show had some sad song in the background mourning the loss of the criminal. Note: a police officer/security man or something also died in this heist. I have a pretty low threshold for shows and movies like this about looking deeper into the hearts of members of big time organized crime organizations.

What's wrong with Ray Liotta's face? It was really disturbing last night.

What's wrong with Ray Liotta's face? It was really disturbing last night. It was way weird. It almost looked waxy and puffy (if that's possible) at the same time. Very strange. I also noted that the stunt guy they used for Simon Baker when he was on the motorcycle, looked nothing like Simon Baker. Usually its a quick edit and you can't tell. Last night it was glaringly obvious.
