I'm confused -- I didn't see the first episode, and the PVR recorded something that said it was Heroes, but before it went to commercials, it said "Smith" (like the non-opening-credits on Lost). It opened with some guys in masks breaking into a base or something (using a kitten?) and then later on there was a girl and an older man talking about finding her birth parents. I didn't watch anything in between because I thought it was another show. The opening credits said Amy Smart was in that, but IMDB says she is in Smith. Did it switch partway through? Was that actually Heroes? And if so, darn it.

Hmmmmmm, your location is BC, so it sounds like your cable company screwed up the US/Canadian simulcasting, laconicchick. The men in masks/kitten doesn't sound familiar, but the girl and the older man talking about finding her birth parents was Heroes.

Boooo. Well, I guess I'll catch up next week since the episode on NBC.com isn't working for me. (They may only be letting American viewers watch it... Or it could be some other reason.)
I think it was on a Seattle station, though... Would there still be simulcasting there? Not that it matters, I guess. Oh well!

It gets replayed on Fridays at 6 p.m. central time on the SciFi channel if that helps you out.

Sadly that's one of the few channels we don't get, but thanks anyway! I'm sure it will repeat sooner or later.
But anyway, enough about me!

If you want to catch up for the first episode -- try youtube.com -- I think I saw the episode on there. I'm loving the CONSTANT reference to the partial Helix code in this episode. I mean, it was all over Isaac's apartment, Matt's scene when he's waiting by the pool, Mohinder's scene when he's reviewing the portiable hardrive and with Peter, when he drew it on his little stick figure artwork. I never got to see Lost when it started, so I failed to go to the beginning. This is my new guilty pleasure! With Claire and her head going 180, I think that since she's so 'rubbery' and proned to get jossled about, it doesn't surprise me that her head did that. But her daddy is Mr. McCreepy. He's dubbed, the HRG or Horned-Rimmed-Glasses man. Can't wait till next week!

I gave the show a second chance, and I was definitely more into it this time around. I want the heroes to start meeting up with each other soon. I know there have been some interactions, but I want them to form a little Justice League (minus the spandex).

My favorite new show of the season. For fans of the show NBC is publishing a serial graphic novel on their website. It gives details on the backstory with the first chapter dealing with Mohindar's backstory and the second chapter dealing with Hiro's return back to October 2. The art looks pretty good. I also had a laugh (for obvious reasons) when Hiro, after teleporting himself to Times Square runs down the street and in his excitement gives a shout out to Britney Spears. Here is the YouTube of the scene, with the shout-out at the 48 second mark.

See now - I was all prepared to be happy Clea Duvall was back on my TV screen and then she had to ruin it by arresting Greg Grunberg. It's on now, bitch!
I guess we'll have to wait til next week to find out- but I would think everyone got pushed back 5 weeks before the events. Otherwise the win would have happened and everyone would know about the bomb.
That car Porn Mom got was so cool - I want that car one day. Except I don't want the dead mobsters in the trunk. So did she stumble onto a mob graveyard? Or has her Mirror Self been burying other people?
Awesome episode. But I don't know if I can handle another show with website/novel info. I'll give it a try, though.
Neighbor girl, who looks exactly like Audrey Tatou - I'm sure she's working with the bad guys.
ETA: Heroes just became the first show to be picked up for a full season, says Zap2It.com - glad to hear it!

Why do they have to narrate*? I think we could figure out the plot from the prerequisite beginning montage.
*I meant the narration that started before the show, not Mohinder's narration.
