Part of the reason I love this show is watching the relationship between Julie and her parents (where's the baby?). I really like seeing them struggle with how to deal with her, and they usually end up doing the right thing, like in this last episode. I think it's one of the best examples of TV parenting I've seen. It really shows how hard it is to walk the line between giving your kids space and at the same time trying to protect/guide them. And you get to see them handle things badly and then think about it and deal with the situation in a better way.

I love this show but that whole tattoo storyline sounded like it was written 30 years ago. I mean it wasn't like it was visable or something. It just seemed bizzare.

Jason's girlfriend was a real bitch. You have a man who may not be perfect but he's not abusive, so she goes back to her parents? What a miserable human being.

She's what? 19 or 20? I think Jason's girlfriend is completely overwhelmed. Last season, she didn't even want to have the baby, Jason kind of guilted her into it. I think she just needed more support than she was getting. Hopefully, Jason's house-flipping will be a success and will lead to other things.

I laughed so hard during the tattoo scenes. I would freak out in exactly the same way as Tammy did, "You've scarred your body forever!" and "We're getting it removed!" Tattoos are not my thing. And if my under-18 yo daughter got one, hell yes, I would freak out like that.

Matt's mom is trying so hard. I sincerely think she knows how bad she screwed up. But unfortunately, she's going to have to get treated like crap for a while to make up for ... treating her son like crap when she left and ignored him for all those years. The fact that he will even talk to her means there's hope.

Tyra is just out to sabotage herself isn't she? And Landry is going to totally take her back when all this inevitably blows up in her face, isn't he?

Am I evil for being happy that Jason's storyline is finished? I don't know if it was the actor or the character, but I found him totally annoying.

Next week's previews look great--Tara finally finds out the dirt on the cowboy.

Loved Tammy and Coach looking at the house together. They seem like such a real couple to me--such great chemistry.

There's a story going around that FNL is going to be renewed for two more seasons, the direct TV thing again. From everything I've read or heard, it's looking more and more likely.

So, which characters do you think will be back?

I'd love to see Riggins and Saracen back, although it seems unlikely. Most of my favourite characters will be gone. I don't really want to watch a show centered around J.D. McCoy.

If they could somehow keep the seniors, it would be great. I don't know how though, without ruining the show.

I don't see Riggins back next season, especially since Taylor Kitsch is in the upcoming Wolverine movie. Perhaps he'll be back for guest star appearances.

As for the other actors, it seems like the show is pushing them towards college which means Tyra, Matt, Landry, and maybe Lila may be out of the picture. The only actor I can see coming back is Julie because she's the youngest of the bunch.

I see Lyla, Tim, Tyra coming back periodically. I thought Matt was staying in Dillion. They'll have him at some local college, so he and Julie can still interact. Landry will be a senior this year.

Minka was cast in a pilot. Taylor's filming 2 new movies, but he lives in Austin now. Not sure what Adrienne is up to these days.

FNL just got renewed for 2 more seasons!!!!!!!! They will have the same 13 episode deal with Direct TV and NBC. I am insanely happy about this!
