Y'know, I don't want to start any rumours, but there are an awful lot of men working on Drive who aren't nor have ever been married.

Yeah, but they're all concentrating on their careers right now and don't have time to find that special woman.

1) I really, really liked this show. You could have one hell of a drinking game just based on how often that one dude gets hit in the head.
2) The ratings were lousy.
3) It's going to get cancelled and I will cry, because we'll never know WHO WINS!!!!

Aw, that's disappointing but not surprising. I was afraid that would happen given what network it's on and who is producing it, but I watched the premiere anyway because I love movies like It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World . I hope they follow that one other show, that I unfortunately can't seem to remember, where the producer promised he/she would answer questions if the show was canceled. I never actually watched that show, but I wish all producers made that promise. Yes, I expected there to be at least a little UST between Tully and Corinna, but I think there was definitely more between Tully and uh, Dusty, since that seems like a good nickname since I don't think they ever said his real name.

Son of a beetch. Anyone care to sum it up for me? TiVo didn't switch over and I got a random two hours of Cartoon Network instead.

That was great! I really hope it doesn't get cancelled. Promote this bitch, FOX!
I love Nathan Fillion. He's doing great. The less I see of Amy Acker, the better. I hate Corinna, but I always hate these "You need me, but I'm not telling you anything about me and I'll always lie to you" type people. I like the Salazar brothers, and Wendy Plastic Baby Mom.
bitca, I'll spoiler my recap for those who may not have seen it yet. The race is run by a group of unknown people and they've been running it for at least 30 years. Nathan Fillion's (Alex is his name) wife gets kidnapped and he gets knocked out, and then gets a phone call (as do other people at the same time) inviting him to join this race. He infers they have his wife and he has to do this to get her back. He's not to tell anyone, or go to the cops, but to get to southern Florida to get orientated immediately.
He gets to the orientation late, and gets to slap around Charles Martin Smith to get his info. It's a race with a prize of 32 million. CMS claims no knowledge of his wife's whereabouts.
We find out later that people are specifically recruited, and some are coerced, like Alex.
A guy in a fancy car starts trying to run him off the road once the race starts. He finds a woman hiding in the back of his truck who claims the guy is her ex who's trying to kill her. They manage to escape. The woman's name is Corinna. She later admits as this guy keeps coming after them that she's not a part of the race, the guy works for the people in charge of the race, and she stole a flash drive from him with race info on it. Turns out 27 years ago she was kidnapped to force her parents into the race, and they were run off the road and killed as they approached the finish line, where she was standing. So she's trying to find out who's responsible.
Alex ties up the race guy and has him in a bathtub trying to get info. Corinna realizes he can't kill them because he'd have to admit to his boss that he lost the flash drive. In the end of the episode Alex decides to quit unless he has proof his wife is alive. His race phone rings, and there's a video of someone he met earlier in the day holding his wife gagged and bound.
Other people in the race - a dad and his daughter (John and Violet). He is dying of some medical condition, I think heart related. Two half brothers - Winston and Sean, who've just met. Winston was paroled from jail, probably by the race people. New mother Wendy, who's in an abusive marriage and escaping her husband. The race people spring her from jail after her husband reports her car stolen. As a penalty for showing up late to the first checkpoint, she's supposed to kill another racer, but the term they use is "get her out of her car before the next checkpoint". She's not able to do it, but the other woman realizes Wendy is willing to do what it takes to win, and ditches her teammates for Wendy. And a young couple, the guy is AWOL from the Marines.
That should be enough to catch you up.

I loved it - even though my Fox feed crapped out at one point and I lost a whole 5-minute chunk. Not crazy about that Lohan look-alike, and her dad creeps me out. And Corrina looks like a cross between Madonna and Brandine Spears.
Tully's totally a Cylon - he even has a Fred!Chip, y'all!
Whoops -wrong show! ;D
Hmm... Nathan looked so very, very fine... rwoarrr...

I loved it again tonight, but I hope it doesn't get the "Lost" syndrome. Cause I'll only last one season. Watch this people! don't let the networks cancel yet another show I care about (CBS and "Smith", I'm lookin' at YOU)
