I thought Schwimmer was much more talented than LeBlanc. While Courteney Cox is super pretty, I have never thought that she was a great actress. And I never understood why everyone thought that Lisa Kudrow was this great actress, Phoebe was my least favorite character. Actually, I thought that the only one with any acting chops was Matthew Perry, and that might have been residual love from Growing Pains. Sandy!
So who did win Emmys?

Kudrow and Aniston--LK's came in the supporting category, and JA got one for lead, which is stupid (but so are the Emmys).
The episode with the trivia contest is one of my favorites. Ms. Chanandler Bong and "he's a--a--a transponster" still crack me up, even though I know what's coming.

That's not even a WORD!!
Yeah, I watched this show until the absolute bitter end. The last couple seasons were pretty sloppy, but it's still a fun show which really does hold up better than most sitcoms.

My favorite characters were Ross and Monica. Especially Ross. I found him to be the funniest of the group.
Another funny episode was the one where Ross and Monica dance on Dick Clark's New Year's Eve special. Their dance was hillarious!
Ross and his leather pants filled with baby powder and lotion? So funny!
I guess there really are lots of good episodes. I still watch the reruns when nothing else is on tv.

The leather pants one was awesome. And all of the ones CAgirl mentioned, too -- the trivia game, the one with Phoebe seducing Chandler, the trifle... And "Pivot!" is classic. The one with the cheesecake is good, too. The one(s?) where Eddie moves in (the fruit-drying, the goldfish cracker), the one with Joey in the box, and the one where Joey builds that entertainment unit... There are a lot of good older episodes. The last episodes were painful to watch, though.

Oooh, Kraft Dinner. We have to make this!
Loved Jon Lovitz as a guest - not to "stunt-y", and totally fit for one ep.

I loved this one! The dancing is so funny, I tell Mr. G that we're gonna learn that routine but he just won't go along. All of the episodes you mentioned are the best, with "Pivot! Pivot! Pivot!" being the one that cracks me up the most. I also loved when Joey put 2+2 together about Monica and Chandler (the hotel room and, I think, an eyelash curler). The look on his face when he realizes they were together is hysterical. Joey really got funny in the later seasons. I loved his "why, that smells like summer in a bowl" line during an episode that had Elle MacPherson as his roommate.
