I don't think Mr. esoterica has ever seen this show. Yesterday, I referred to something as a "moo point." He said, "are you trying to say 'moot'?" So I did the whole quote for him. Blank stare.

I still carry a torch for seasons 1-7 of Friends, and watched 8 mainly for posterity (I never thought they'd drag it out into a 10th season). I thought 8 was ghastly. Didn't watch 9 or 10.
I'm probably in the vast minority of viewers who didn't think the show was the Funniest Thing Ever during seasons 1 or 2, actually watched season 3, and think season 6 is the best.
Favorite eps are definitely the Vegas wedding one, and the "Joey's a sex addict" one. And I have a sick love for "The One With I Do."
The only characters I liked were Chandler and, well, Rachel, despite my hatred for the pregnancy storyline (babies are show-killers) and the rumored non-comedy that followed ("Baby Got Back"? Really?).

Come sit by me, esoterica. I call it a "moo" point so often I'm afraid I might do it in front of someone who doesn't get or remember the joke.
