Why?
The UK show is classic camp. There's no way the American version will even attempt to top that! The third season alone couldn't be reproduced.
One word ABC: Coupling.

I never really watched Xena but I have an inexplicable love for Lucy Lawless. I hope she rocks the house as uber-bitch Tanya.

Yeah, but I think after DH and Ugly Betty (the latter of which has an EP on this show), ABC may be getting good at the campy stuff.

I love Lucy (hee) as well, but I would rather see her as Hazel (why they have no Hazel blows my mind) Personally I think she would make a good Hazel, too. I just can't envision her as Tanya at all. She does at least look more Tanya-like with her blonde hair, though. I certainly hope there is a Hazel and that they just haven't announced anyone in the part yet. Or maybe Hazel will really come into play later on like she did in the UK version, so they haven't cast/announced the role yet. |

Honestly I will have a hard time buying anyone but Zoe Lucker as Tanya. I think this whole thing sounds like a trainwreck.
