I hesitated to start this because even after searching at least six times for a previous thread, I'm scared I'm just missing it. Or is Court TV really doing that bad a job promoting this that it's two days from premier and nobody's talking about it??

Is this the one hosted by John Waters? If it's the one I'm thinking of, I'm totally there because I heart John Waters. And I love the shows on Court TV. I saw John on The Daily Show the other day promoting this and he was so funny!

That's the one! My link, had my link chosen to break with tradition and actually work, would have mentioned John Waters. Chicken trauma aside, I love him too.

From what I've been able to Google (DAMN! the inability to link correctly), the premise sounds interesting and weird...go figure. Waters is the host and plays a character who time travels?? through the stories (one article said he was going to be like A. Hitchcock on his series). The stories are supposed to be true life. This sounds a little like L&O on acid.

I think it seems like an interesting take on an old formula. Lots of shows on Court TV are documentaries that have snippets of re-enactments. I like the idea of them taking the whole case and re-eneacting it without the voice overs and cut-aways to interviews and stuff. And I'm pleased to learn that John will be doing more than just introducing each case.

Yay! For my fellow Canadians, Global's going to be running this at 10:30 on Wednesday nights. Now I don't have to figure out where the hell CourtTV is on the digital system!

It's also airing on the Mystery channel, apparently. It does not appear to be on the Court TV channel we have, which is... weird. And Global is calling it Love You to Death, for some strange reason.

Because Global is run by freaks, probably. Mystery makes sense, since it's owned by CanWest. (Why do I know so damned much about who owns which channels? [/rhetorical question])

I think our CourtTV is different from the US CourtTV, but I wouldn't swear to that, since I don't watch it.

I had not heard of this until I saw John Waters on "The Daily Show." I promptly set my TiVo to record it as a season pass. A sick, twisted concept? Yup. But like tinyshoes said, John Waters and true crime are an unbeatable combination. I can't wait.
