It all began 10 years ago this month--not counting the movie of course which was actually 15 years ago, but anyway.. I love this show. Love it. And at times I hated it as well. I know it can bring out some crazy talk, but I'm betting that since neither Brad, Angelina, nor Jen ever made an appearance, we can survive this thread. Bangel? Spuffy? Why can't we all just get along? ;D ETA please don't be mad, Topher!

I liked the show (gee, really spordelia? ;D), but couldn't care less about the Bangel/Spuffy divide. I liked Angel better than Spike (better looking), but I was in it for the story being told, and just went with that.
I did like Angel and Spike "working" together on Angel.
Topic? Let's see. My favorite villain was Adam (mostly because I had the hots for him.) Couldn't name a favorite episode if I tried - I just can't narrow it down.

I loved Spike and Angel as a relucant buddy duo.
I think the Mayor was one of my all time favorite Big Bads. As were Spike and Angelus.

Just finished rewatching the final series of Angel, and Im slowly getting through the last season of Buffy, again.
It still hasnt aged too uncomfortably for me - no cringeworthy fashions, and only somewhat dodgy hair.
I adore the show - I know Ive mentioned it here before, but Ive got a son named Xander Harris, and my brother has a bot named William (Will/Willow, and William the Bloody) and Cordelia, and Connor.
We're big fans. ;D
I think my fave villain in retrospect, is actually The Trio. I have a big soft spot for Jonathon.

The BEST episode is "Hush". (I know everyone says that, but it's reeeeally creepy and I love it!!)
I can't honestly say there are many episodes I wouldn't enjoy watching again, and I can't decide whether I prefer the monster-an-episode seasons or the fighting-a-big-bad seasons.

I love this show so much. There are so many times I want to use a joke or phrase from it IRL or on non-dorky boards and then I realize nobody will know what I'm talking about *sigh*. Heroes won me over right quick by using so many Buffy alums.
It's still criminal that neither "Hush" nor "The Body" won Emmys. While both were excellent I remember "The Body" being insanely jarring because the previews hadn't hinted at a "a very special episode." Just a gut-wrenching hour of television.

"Hush" was fantastic. If anyone's seen the movie Dark City[/color], it reminded me a LOT of that. To this day, there's a part of my brain that thinks "The Body" was huge glitch that the writers are still waiting to go back and fix (once they're done with the time machine). "Smashed" wasn't bad either. I lived for this series, even the bad eps.

I don't know if it's my favorite episode -- that's too hard -- but I loved "Restless" a lot. Part of it might be due to Giles getting up and singing at The Bronze. I still sing that little 58-second ditty in the shower sometimes:
The spell we cast with Buffy Must have released some primal evil that's --
Okay, I won't do that... Er, my favorite character? I'd say Faith or Angel. I guess I like the angsty, tortured-by-their-dark-side types. God, I miss this show.

I hated "The Body." I remember wanting to smack Buffy a lot.
I bought the first three seasons on DVD when they were on sale around New Year's, but I haven't had time to watch them yet. Soon!

Hush and The Body are definitely two of my favorites, as well. Although, I've always thought that The Prom embodied the quintessential BTVS. Faith turned evil. The hellhounds. The Ascension. Angel breaks up with Buffy! Determined to give her friends and classmates one perfect night of high school bliss, Buffy saves the prom. And then, completely out of his style, Joss shocked us all by giving Buffy her one perfect night. The Class Protector award! Angel! Pretty much all of season 3 rocked my world
