I always, always cry when Jonathan presents her with the Class Protector sparkly umbrella.

Spuffy forever!
I loved Buffy. And Angel (the series). I found Angel the character very mopey and annoying on Buffy, but adored him as Angelus. And David Boreanaz really blossomed once they gave him his own show - in the end I thought Angel the series was better than Buffy.
Spike captivated me from the first moment he appeared on screen - he became my favorite character. I hated him always being the punching bag for everything, though.
Season 6 and 7 - I'd rather lick a subway floor than ever watch those 2 seasons again. Season 6 had its moments, it started off very strong. But then it collapsed. And don't even get me STARTED on the Slayer Slumber Party that should have never been.

I thought The Body was definitely one of the best episodes. And I love how they slipped the first shown kiss between Tara and Willow into that episode as no big deal with no big hype. I agree that Hush is also one of the best.
And now, I will alienate everyone, by proclaiming that I laughed my ass off at the Beer Bad episode and thought it was anviliciously hilarious.
I think my alltime favourite episode was season three's finale. Awesome.
Loved Spike, but not necessarily with Buffy. Loved any relationship Willow was in, but didn't always like Willow herself. Loved Anya. Giles was my absolute favourite, and I liked his few scenes with Tara.
I liked Buffy with Angel, but didn't necessarily like either of their characters. Liked Faith well enough, but not to the level that most people seem to.

whatever, I'm a Spuffy fan too!
I love this show. I watched it from ep 1 to the last. It still holds up well after all these years.

I'm extremely late to the Buffy party but I've been slowly watching the DVDs as I borrow them from the library. I just finished Season 2 and Disc 1 of Season 3 awaits me as I type. I'm thoroughly enjoying the show, both the monster-of-the-week episodes and the storyline arc episodes. So far I prefer Angel to Spike but I have only had a tiny taste of the Spike/Buffy team, and I admit I liked what I saw. My Angel preference is based solely on my memory of David Boreanaz's back with the Angelus tattoo that we see early in Season One. Yum -- I know his acting was wooden but he was sure cute.
Love Giles, love the Scooby Gang....so far the show has been incredibly satisfying. And I love seeing the 90s fashions and counting Buffy's never-ending supply of leather outerwear.

You'll love "Dead Man's Party" then. And searching for that episode (I suck with episode titles) reminded me of one of my very favoritest episodes - "Band Candy." Principal Snyder? Hilarious.

I think David Boreanaz is an example of a man getting better with age. It's like he grew into his looks or something. He was so much better looking on Angel than in the first season of Buffy.
My mom was addicted to this show. I got my husband into it, but only near the end. He's only seen episodes from the last couple of seasons--he's never seen the early ones! Hush is my favorite, mainly because the villains had a Joker look about them. Creepy.
I don't think I ever watched the musical episode though. Liked earlier Willow. Hated later Buffy. Anya was funny.

I absolutely loved this show from the very first episode. I remember being in 7th grade when it started and then being out of high school when it ended. *sniff*
I loved practically every episode until Season 6 came around. I also hated that they gave Buffy that annoying as hell sister Dawn. She was absolutely useless IMO.

I also hated that they gave Buffy that annoying as hell sister Dawn. She was absolutely useless IMO. Is "annoying" a strong enough word to describe Dawn? Gah! Hate. Hitherto unknown siblings who appear out of the ether may just be the worst device ever invented by increasingly lazy/bored scriptwriters on failing television shows. If not, it is right up there with stupified middle-aged parents conceiving little wunderkinds who go from newborns to six-year-olds in three weeks or, just as commonly, adopting the offspring of long lost relatives who are thoughtful enough to show up out of the blue and just drop their little joy bundles on the front porch in an attempt to raise those sagging ratings and mask the odor of rotting sitcom corpse with the equally offensive stench of manufactured 'cute'. To this day I despise Michelle Trachtenberg and her grating voice and am holding a grudge against the writers for letting her take up screen time that should rightfully have gone to my favorites, Giles and Spike. Wasn't too crazy about Oz, either.

*gasp!* I loved Oz. He was probably my favourite. In fact, I think his departure heralded the downturn the show took. I have little to no interest in the university years (although I of course kept watching until the bitter, bitter end). I was so pissed off when they paired Willow up with Tara. That was so dumb.
