I have Puppet Spike. My friend gave him to me for my birthday last year. It's cute. I've also taken a picture with Puppet Angel at DragonCon. I felt so special and a bit dorky, but I don't care. Smile Time goes up there OMWF. Awesome ep.

I so want both the Puppet Spike and Angel. They've been on my AMazon wishlist for a while now, but no one's bought them for me.

There's an actual Puppet Spike? Runs off to Amazon... Okay I'm back. That's seriously fugly. Not made by the same people who made the Angel puppet, I'm sure.

Heh. I wish you could get non-vamp versions, personally.

I have a friend whose husband bought her a Puppet Angel (replica?) for her birthday a couple of years ago. So jealous! I have both standard Puppet Angel and Battle Scarred Puppet Angel (with removable nose!) - they're on the extreme right of the picture. (Only picture I have of them that wasn't ganked from elsewhere.) They upped the schedule on Vampire Puppet Angel, so I couldn't afford it. One of these days, I'll probably pick one up off of eBay. Because I'm geeky like that.

Ooh, I think it was Battle-Scarred Puppet Angel that my friend got. Still jealous!

I am sitting here laughing, thinking of Puppet Angel. *Sniff* I miss that show. I thought it was going to suck, but it won me over, starting with the pilot. Good times.

That show definitely left a hole in my TV schedule, more-so than Buffy because I couldn't even watch the last two seasons. Sure I wanted to throttle Fred, and Saint Cordelia, and Connor. But It really did bring a whole lot of awesome: Doyle, bringing back Darla an Dru, and giving Spike his balls back after he got away from the Tiger Beat-reading clutches of Marti Noxon (haaaaaaate). If only they could have gotten Anthony Stewart Head to do the show, oh the possibilities.

"Angel" also gave us Hot!Tortured!Wesley, which I enjoyed immensely. I hated Wesley on BtVS. And as the series progressed, DB became a pro at Angel's deadpan one-liners. I remember, in one ep, a villain calls Angel "a little fairy," and without missing a beat, he says, "I'm not little." I almost fell out of my chair.
Ick, Saint Cordelia. I never got the Angel/Cordy 'ship. I guess she did grow as a person (before the "saintening" -- that was just over the top) but I thought Angel's feelings for her came out of nowhere.
The last season was OK, but I didn't like the "Angel & Co. take over Wolfram & Hart" storyline. I really missed the hotel and the dynamic the characters had before going to W&H. Plus, "necro-tempered glass"? Come on. I know you have to be able to really suspend disbelief with a show like this, but really.
Oh man. "Smile Time." That was just an hour of awesomeness.
