What's up with the picture within a picture thing they are doing with phone calls. It's too comedic for a drama like this. Plus it is lame.

Hmm, I really dug this at the start and then it got a little goofy. I'm watching an ep now with Stew from The Family Guy giving them advice on having a baby together... I thought I was hallucinating.

Yeah, I just really got into it this year, but I've been watching the older eps on DVD lately, and I see now why people have complained that it's gone downhill. Also even without any basis for comparison I thought the Stewie thing was ridiculous. I also think the brain tumor plot development is silly and unnecessary, and the season finale was a waste of time. In most ways I think they've done a really good job developing Brennan and Booth's relationship, so I wish they'd go there if they're going to go there, or even keep taking it slow if they're going to do that, but don't do this half-assed, "oh, they're going have sex but not" fake relationshippy stuff.

Heh. It was very odd. They tied it into Booth's brain tumor/surgery but it was completely unnecessary.

Not sure if anyone is still watching this show, but I thought tonight's episode was very well done. I'm not really invested in them getting together one way or another, but that last scene was very well acted and seemed like a conversation that would actually happen in the real world. Which is rare on TV when dealing with a will they/won't they plot.

I thought it was really well done/well acted, but I find it a bit frustrating -- it seems like the writers have been foreshadowing a Booth/Bones pairing forever, but the conversation seemed very, very final (i.e., Bones is never going to be able to have a real relationship with Booth). So I hope they stick with that, because if they continue to drag out the angst (have Booth keep pining, or, alternately, have Bones change her mind once Booth has found someone new) it will annoy me to no end.
I have to say, David Boreanaz kind of broke my heart a little there.

Yeah, it was surprisingly well done, especially considering the way the show has been going. I actually prefer that they not deal with romantic relationships among any of the characters and just stick with the investigations and general work-place relationships. When they try to do romances, it just gets silly and/or annoying.

I'd like to see Bones and Booth get together during the final season. They do have great chemistry and look so pretty together, but I'm afraid a romance would kill the show. Thus my suggestion.

I just recently started watching the reruns on TNT and fell in love. Reading through this thread I noticed alot of disappointment in the later seasons. I've been watching the later seasons on TNT in the evenings and, lately, season 1 on NetFlix in the afternoons and I don't really see a big difference. Maybe because I've been 'spoiled'. Instead of being surprised about Zack being Gormogon, for instance, I saw it all over the internet way before and now I'm eager to see the storyline play out. I've also watched episodes with Sweets that I've enjoyed so now I'm excited to see his introduction. The only big difference I see is the relationship between Booth and Bones. In season one they seemed to be more at odds with each other and in the later seasons they seem to be totally in love.
