Since the Angel thread started to turn into a Bones discussion, I thought I'd start a new thread.

Anywho, I thought this show was absolutely terrible when it first aired, and only watched it because David B. looked good, but it's really started to grow on me.

I love Booth, Angela, Hodges and don't mind Cam or Zach. David B.'s comedic timing is great and the show is really hitting its stride.

The only character I don't like is Bones herself. Partly because Emily D. can't act, and partly because Bones comes across as a rude jerk who hides behind "I'm a scientist who doesn't understand people". (e.g. the time she kept making rude personal remarks to a dwarf and continued even after both Booth and the man told her to stuff it.)

I'd have a much easier time buying her 'smart but lacks people skills and knows nothing about pop culture' thing if she 1) wasn't a best selling novelist who must have created vivid characters; and 2) is groomed and dressed like she just stepped off the catwalk. Yeah, you don't know much about TV but you sure know a lot about fashion.

I get the feeling that FOX realizes that David B. is the real star and that the secondary characters are popular since they seem to be reducing Emily's screen time and increasing the other's.

I love Bones. I thought it was great since day 1. I normally don't like forensics shows, but I gave this a chance because of David, and I'm glad I did. I do love the whole squints vs. grunts things, but there should probably be more grunts on.

Angela and Jack are seriously adorable together, but I dislike all the relationship focus of the 2nd season as a whole. I like Cam more now than I did at first, but between her and Sully - enough with the sex! Don't you people have murders to solve?

I have a feeling Bones buys most of her jewelry when she travels, it all has a very tribal feeling to it. I don't think her clothes are any reflection on her, other than she can afford really nice things and realizes she needs to look nice at the office. I love that Booth has been humanizing her, but I agree she should have picked it up a little faster, but I guess she wouldn't be "her" if she changed too much.

I like that we'll learn more about her family this season, with her father showing up next week, and we're supposed to learn more about her mother too , it really sucked for her when her dad and brother both abandoned her again, I really wanted her to throatkick her father.

I don't think David gets the credit he deserves as an actor - comedy, drama, angst, action, is there anything this man can't do?

Boreanaz: Chickens. Live chickens. Birds, chickens. Because they're very clucky, and feathery. ... They're just a little too jerky for me. ... That's not happening in my lifestyle.

I think DB is great. He's really come into his own as an actor. It's a shame he hasn't gotten good film roles (the only ones I've seen him in have been crappy.)

I do get frustrated with the show getting "shippy". I liked the group dynamic of season 1 so much -- I don't like too much focus on pairs.

I think it's very well-written overall. One of my favorite episodes is when Bones and Hodgins got trapped and the rest of the team worked frantically to save them as they worked to save themselves.

I don't normally like crime shows, but I watch this because of David Boreanaz. Brennan really pisses me off though, there's no excuse whatsoever for her behaviour towards other people, and I feel that it's worse in season 2.

I also just assumed she bought her jewellery when she went travelling.

The woman who plays Angela is gorgeous, she really glows, and it's even more obvious just how pasty Emily Deschanel is when they're in a scene together.

Unpopular opinion: I think Emily is beautiful. With the wrong actress, Tempy could be a much, much more unsympathetic character than she is.

One odd thing that bothers me about the show is that they don't call the place the Smithsonian and use "Jeffersonian" instead. I never got why they can't use the real name--it's not like the Smithsonian is a private company. Having them use "Jeffersonian" is like having Mulder and Scully work for the National Association of Investigation.

I enjoy the character interaction, and I think David really shines. Can't stand the shrill, whiny, needy Hodges though.

I really like the show, even though it's considerably different from the books. I guess because it's so different, it's easy enough to view them as totally different things, just with one character name in common. I also like Angela (or the actress who portrays her), because she looks so much like my best friend when I was growing up. I also like Hodges and think he and Angela are cute together. Cam has definitely grown on me as the season has progressed.

I love this show. At first, I kind of thought it sucked, but it's really hitting its stride. DB's acting has become 1,000 times better -- he's great. He's got awesome comedic timing (and I'll always have a soft spot for him due to his crazy stream-of-consciousness/fear of chickens interview). I love his crazy socks, too. Oh, and he's hot again (the last few seasons of "Angel"? Not lookin' so good), so there's that.

I like Emily D. and think her acting fits her character, but Angela is my favorite.

I watched the show for the first couple of weeks, but then I gave up. Bones is really fug and annoying, and so is her Geek Squad. Which one is Zack and which one is Jack? Don't know, don't care - they both suck.

I like David B., but I really don't like that show.

I've never seen David Boreanaz in anything else, because I hate Buffy and anything to do with it. I also don't normally like forensics shows. I only started watching this because when it started it was on before House and I didn't have anything else to watch at the time. And I got completely sucked in and addicted to it. Bones herself pisses me off more often than not, particularly with her constant belittling of any religious beliefs and any belief in God whatsoever. She's the type of atheist that I can't stand. But I love all the other characters so that makes up for it.

I'm liking the Angela/Hodgins storyline, they are probably the cutest couple on TV right now for me. I never had a problem with Cam although I do miss Goodman.
