I've grown to really love the show - at first it was very predictable but now I find the science of the investigation more interesting. Booth and Bones have a great dynamic, although I hate watching him with Cam because to me the whole Mulder / Scully dynamic means they both have to be celibate (seeing as they're not with each other) or I throw a spacko. Plus in the last few episodes I've watched he seems to have become a big womaniser while Bones is offering herself to him. Grr. I love Angela and Hodgins, but I've found the second season less funny than the first. They seem to be spending less time in the lab where the quirky exchanges are. And that's the best part! ... well, the best part which doesn't involve David B. looking hot.

I like this show. I think they've done a good job with character development without turning it into a soap. You learn a bit more about the characters each season which makes me more interested.
Angela and Hodgins are my favorites. Cam has grown on me, and I like how they showed the power struggle in the beginning but also showed how it was resolved.
I've never seen David B. in any other role but I really like him as Boothe. He has good comedic timing and does the drama well. I've really enjoyed Stephen Fry as his psychiatrist and found their exchanges really interesting.

Whereas I like seeing a scientific atheist perspective being put forth for a change and actually get a bit annoyed when it seems like the writers are trying to make her waver in her atheism. I'm sure it's all a matter of perspective. I feel like I'm inundated with religion, so enjoy a rational atheist approach being shown. I'm sure others feel like they're inundated with atheism. YMMV, obviously.

He and David worked well together.

What I hate is mostly the thing I hate about other shows: how everyone has to "hook up" within the group. Angela and that guy (like I said: Jack? Zack?) just make me cringe.

I really could not care less that she's an atheist. I don't like being told that my belief in an "imaginary super-being" is irrational or stupid.

I think the religious beliefs of Boothe and Brennan point out, once again, how different their world views are. Brennan has a wholly scientific take on the matter while Boothe believes in having faith. They operate, in both their professional lives and personal lives, in very different manners.

I think that Brennan's whole "rational" thing is largely self-defence - not the rationality itself, but the presentation. When you see her with her guard down, which is rare, she's quite vulnerable, and, I think, achingly insecure about a lot of things, which makes sense, given the amount of abandonment in her life. The one thing she feels confident in, and hides behind, is her intellect and her ability to make things more manageable by analysing them or dismissing them, because it puts some distance between herself and whatever is bothering her. I'm not saying at all that she's in any way insincere about her rational approach to life, but I think the way that she presents it is largely a defensive one. She doesn't like things to remain unknown or inexplicable, and she doesn't really like to leave room for anyone else to leave them that way either, even if they want to.
I don't know, I can see why she annoys people, but I still like her.

Confession time: I love this show. Love, love, love. I used to think Boreanaz was the worst actor I'd ever seen (albeit hot -- in his early "Buffy" days). He's gotten so much better. I love him on this show. Emily Deschanel has also grown on me. Until this season (when I actually started to watch more TV, since I'm too broke to go out as much ), this was the only show I bothered to watch.

Me too. My husband makes fun of me for watching, but somehow he always ends up watching almost the whole episode with me.
The kneecaps in the mail last night were so gross.
