I hated the Gorgomon resolution. It was rushed. Why couldn't they delay the resolution? It could have been a great storyline. Two words: writers' strike. They had a much longer arc planned out but didn't have enough time to do it last season. I need to clarify. I know the writers' strike shortened the season and as a result writers had to truncate storylines. I wish the Gorgomon denouement hadn't been rushed. Why couldn't writers take their time and execute the story as they originally intended? Why couldn't they delay resolution until this season? I still don't buy Zach as Gorgomon's apprentice. Writing Gorgomon as some Ted Kaczynski-esque nutjob totally undid a potentially awesome arc. I was invested in it. The wrap-up is a jump the shark moment.

We're into the third season here (We're always a season behind you), but I'm curious about what hasn't been shown. What was Zack's motivation for being the Gorgomon's apprentice? Does anyone know why the actor left/quit/was let go from the show?
ETA: Oops! Never mind... There are plenty of answers to my questions on the "Bones" boards at IMDb.

Man. I couldn't even watch the last five minutes. I was already in tears over the rest of the show and the poor dogs. I pretty much lost it when Booth said they'd put the dog down.

They totally made me cry with this episode too. Poor dogs, indeed; cruelty to animals is unbearable to me. You missed a really sweet scene at the end, though, biondetta. Poor Ripley and Bones. I hope this means the show is back, after the disastrous beginning of the season. Even Sweets was useful and interesting, for once. The scenes with Parker and Hodgins were great. I'm glad they're addressing Zack and the breakup.

Ripley looked a bit too much like my own dog for me to watch. I wouldn't have been able to see or hear it over my own sobbing anyway. Sweets does seem to be showing some purpose now. I do hope the show evens out a bit more. Of course, it was such a lousy start to the season that I hope things can only get better. *crosses fingers*

Another excellent episode - and Sweets once again managed to be cool and useful instead of annoying! I can't even believe I'm writing that. And, OMG, Zack! How I'd missed you! I'm not surprised they're suddenly saying he didn't kill the guy after all, even though that was so obviously the writers admitting they had messed up last season. It doesn't really make that much sense, but I'm OK with it anyway because I love Zack so much. I just hope he'll be back again! BTW, what's with FOX's obsession with dead bodies buried under bird baths and severed heads in boxes?

I agree about Zach. Writers really messed up the whole Gorgomon story. What the hell were they thinking? They went for shock value and pissed off the fans (including me). The only way they would have pissed me off more is if it had been Hodgins or Angela.

Hodgins is doing car commercials. (The actor....) I don't know if they're national, or just in NYC.
I'm surprised. He's got a good gig...
