Saw that, edited. Have no clue how to link, followed the instructed (supposedly) and it didn't work. Maybe someone else can find it. It's worth a look, even inStyle magazine said she "goofed".

Here you go. I'd forgotten that. Really it's the fringed capelet that tips it over the edge. The dress itself is innocuous and the hair is a little much but the capelet is what makes me think of a bordello on Gunsmoke.

It says something when Kate still has one of the worst looks on the list when it's up against clothes from the '80s (ugliest fashion decade ever). Demi Moore's bicycle shorts and Kim Basinger's half sleeve dress are uglier than Kate's look but again, that was the '80s, Kate was 2001. Plus by then professional designers were styling stars and I don't think they regularly did that in the 80s. (Demi reportedly designed her own bike shorts dress.)

She's presenting this Sunday at the Golden Globes. She was last nominated for one back in 2000 for Almost Famous. I'm actually surprised as the HFPA are the ones who nominated Johnny & Angelina for that piece of garbage The Tourist that they haven't managed to throw a few extra token noms her way.

I'm just impressed that you've all written a solid close to 10 pages of posts about Kate Hudson when she hasn't done anything of note in 15 years. Bravo!

The NY Times had a hilarious article on her lately titled "Her films may flop but Kate Hudson's still a fashion star". I loved that they so openly remarked on her disastrous movie career but I have to disagree with their assessment of her as some type of fashion darling.
I figure what little shreds of fame she's clinging to will surely evaporate with age and the arrival of new celebs for designers to hook up with and hopefully she'll fade away.

I remember when I saw that dress I thought "oh I hope she doesn't win because I would feel bad for her having the biggest moment of her professional career in such an ugly dress." Of course, at that point I thought that this was going to be the first of many Oscar nominations for her....

She's kind of the poor man's Gwyneth Paltrow.
