And honestly, even this is ridiculous to me. What other major surgery would we judge someone for planning so that it's convenient? I agree. I also strongly believe if a woman wants a C-section for no other reason than she doesn't want to give birth vaginally, that should standard. It goes along with my belief that we should be in full control of our own health and bodies. We should be fully informed of any risks/challenges and then make the decision that is best for us. |

Having a C-section is not an easy way out of childbirth, it's just another method of getting the baby out. I've had two. There are pros and cons to each method. I couldn't move from the chest down for about 6 hours. That's a very strange and unsettling feeling to be paralyzed. Didn't feel instense labor pains, but I did feel them taking the baby out and it was not like getting a massage. I couldn't hold my first baby because I was hooked up to so much stuff. Finally held her about 2 hours after she was born. I did get to hold my son briefly. I had a huge incision and staples and it HURT. I didn't just jump off the operating table and skip off to brunch. Childbirth is difficult either way you go about it. And surprise, surprise parenting them for 18 years is even harder!

I am not a fan of that dress. Everything looks squished or squashed. The brunette suits her very well, and I think her face looks beautiful. Wow. I could not have picked her out of a lineup!
