I’ve read reviews that say that the quality of the Fabletics stuff is pretty poor. Plus the company is designed that they charge you every month so you need to call to cancel or they just auto bill you until you can cancel which apparently isn’t an easy process. Google fabletics and scam to read the angry reviews.....
Given that her acting career isn’t blowing up I’m surprised she hasn’t jumped on some type of mommy brand or lifestyle brand rather than those awful happiness books she put out. Maybe with baby #3 she’ll branch out...

Yeah, I hate any companies that make you sign up for membership and then when you want out it's a pain in the ass. Honestly, at their price point, even with a lower quality Fabletics would probably do strong business without having a subscription because there's plenty of people like me who will trade lower quality for lower prices in regard to workout clothes.
Re: gender reveal parties. HATE them. Watching people make asses of themselves whooping and screaming over an either/or answer makes me super uncomfortable.

When and why did gender reveal parties become a thing? I’d only go to one if they weren’t sure the fetus was human. Surprise! You’re having a Bassett Hound. LOL. Truthfully I think it speaks to the casual narcissism that loads of people, American’s in particular, seem to have / possess these days. It’s just another look at meeeee and give me gifts / free shit.

I saw a meme that I loved (and I’m paraphrasing)- I have an idea for a gender reveal party; You go to the ultra sound appointment. The doctor tells you the sex of the baby. You go home. You tell no one.
Lol.
She bugs me. I really like both of her brothers and her parents though.

I’m for a gender reveal if you are at a family gathering anyway and you maybe do a cake thing. But a whole separate party just to reveal? No.

I’m for a gender reveal if you are at a family gathering anyway and you maybe do a cake thing. But a whole separate party just to reveal? No. I think it started out as an LA thing where it gave an excuse to people like Tori Spelling and Giuliana Rancic to have a famous party planner put on a party for them that would get them a lot of attention and baby product sponsorships, and then it trickled down to the masses. It dovetails nicely with the prevailing belief these days that every personal milestone needs to be "unique" or "cute". Like you can't just tell your husband that the pregnancy test was positive, you have to put a baby bonnet on your fucking dog's head and tie the pregnancy test around his collar and "surprise" your husband. Or you can't tell people that you are having another baby, you need to order a custom onesie for the older one that says, "I'm going to be a big brother". I'm ok with a gender reveal thing if it's at the baby shower. But I think what my coworker's daughter did is more common. They didn't want to wait that long to find out the gender, so the OB sent the sonogram results to the baker right after their appointment, and the whole world had to drop everything to race over to their house THAT NIGHT. It was so selfish.

I hate balloon releases because it's bad for wildlife. Those balloons are going to deflate and land somewhere and releasing them for someone else to have to clean up (or an animal to ingest) is pretty thoughtless.

That’s why I find all these life events so exhausting and expensive. It’s not just a baby shower, now you have to deal with a gender reveal party as well. You can’t just go to a wedding - you also have the bachelorette, the jack and Jill and possibly some type of wedding shower / engagement party. It just seems like an additional way to milk your friends and family of their time and money...

We found a balloon with a string and a note attached that if found, please return and there was an address. The address was Ohio and we live in Central PA, so it traveled pretty far and over mountains!

I'm a childless Gen Xer, so I think gender reveal parties are stupid. I don't know when they caught on but a few years ago a male colleague showed me pictures excitedly from his (and his wife's) gender reveal party like it was a natural part of the birth process and I realized I'd missed out on a frightening new development in social norms.
I also think it's extremely stupid that high schoolers must now find a clever way to ask someone to a dance/prom that can be documented and shared by social media. Or is that just a Southern thing? In any case, I think it's stupid. Whenever I see pics of a guy with something over-the-top clever I assume he has an overly involved mother who spends too much time on Pinterest.
It's really best that I never had kids.
