Yeah, she dropped all of it in like 4-6 months. Granted, everyone loses the weight differently, but her workout routine sounded a little too severe. It's a lot of stress on your body to gain 60 pounds in 9 months and then lose 60 pounds in 5 months.
I read a lot of articles saying that she did breastfeed, but she also smoked (to help her lose the weight) while doing it, so that's not good.

I've decided I do like her though. Not a lot, but she doesn't bug me. She's pretty and seems like a happy and nice person.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- I love her. She's just so cute and friendly. I confess, however, I've never gone to see a movie just because she's in it (so to this day, I still haven't seen How to Lose a Guy or Raising Helen). I still think she was awesome in Almost Famous, though.

She was quoted in several articles talking about how much she loved breastfeeding her son. *sigh* I just don't see how she could have possibly done it (or done it for very long) with that kind of lifestyle. All these celebs that talk about how they breastfed their babies while dropping down to their pre-preg body in two seconds flat bug the hell out of me. It's totally unrealistic.

Breastfeeding actually helps you lose the weight (did for me and some other friends), so while Kate had trainers galore - she admits to that (and certainly, I'm no KH apologist) - I don't see why that's unrealistic. I'm pretty sure that she was still nursing at four months b/c I read an interview where she was feeding Ryder on set at that point.

Oh, on second thought, I'm assuming that you mean keeping up her milk supply. I'm guessing that Kate had so much to lose that modifying her diet didn't restrict her supply. Even if she ate like she only had 30 pounds to lose, she'd still drop the weight and easily be able to nurse.

I find her views on gender and femininity so disgusting that she's god awful ugly to me. Doesn't help that she can't act her way out of paper bag, IMO. Looking golden and sparkly in Almost Famous can't be difficult for spawn of Goldie. Anyways, I've made a point of boycotting anything she's in (which, fortunately, isn't much these days).

I was just questioning how she could have kept it up with the stress of filming a movie (10+ hr workdays), dieting and exercising like a maniac, and smoking. Yeah, I know that nursing can help shed pounds quickly. I don't think I would have lost my baby weight as quickly had I not nursed, but I don't see how all of those stressors couldn't have affected her ability to nurse to some degree. I found that when I started exercising again, it affected my milk supply. I just wish she had painted a more realistic picture instead of making things out to be all sunshine, roses, and baby chicks.

As an actress, she's eh. I liked her a lot in Almost Famous, but I haven't liked her in anything since. I used to think she was similar to Reese Witherspoon with the whole cute blonde persona, but Reese comes across as much more intelligent IMO.

What an odd thing to make a pact about. I mean, it's one thing to let your partner know early on in the relationship that infidelity is a deal breaker, but to make a pact to that effect? That's weird.
