This episode was so funny, I had to watch it twice. I laughed out loud at Ted in his Renaissance get up, smashing his flail into the wall, old man Barney, and super Canadian Robin. Also, the interventions were hilarious. I confess to be a little douchey with the pronunciation thing. I still call my sneakers 'AAH-dee-dah' instead of Addidas.

Barney pretending to be hard-of-hearing was absolutely brilliant--and so was his lesbian pick-up attempt last week. With a lesser actor, Barney would be the most irritating character on television, but NPH is so...cute. Why doesn't this man have an Emmy already?

Robin drinking Molson's cracked me up. Even Ted, whom I normally don't really care for, was great. I'm going to pronounce it "ency-clo-pay-dia" until my friends have an intervention.

IIRC I read in TV Guide's returning shows fall issue that they were going to explore the family starting step in Marshall and Lilly's marriage this season. Maybe they're moving it up now?

The look on Barney's face tonight when he said "I love you" to Robin killed me. I just wanted to give Barney a hug and NPH an Emmy.

I have been in Barney's position more times than I would care to admit. NPH is spot on in portraying the unrequited/off-limits love from afar.
