I am no one's idea of a good housekeeper, but the level of filth in the featured houses is biblical. So disgusting and nasty -- bugs, poo, lard-encrusted kitchens... Jebus H, people, it's not that hard to avoid plague conditions! If I can do it, ANYONE can.
OK, I'm beginning to think that something is seriously wrong with me, b/c I'm hooked on this show. What is it about pairs of English women acting all dominatrixy (see What Not to Wear -- the Trinny and Susannah years) that compels me to watch?
Have to say, I'd perform illicit acts to win a free wardrobe makeover and have my house de-cluttered!!

Is it still on US TV? I haven't caught any episodes in a year.
The grossest one was the lady who was a caterer, and prepared meals for clients out of her filthy kitchen. I would have sued her if she had ever cooked for me.
Followed by the lady who found dead mice in her radiator.

It's so gag-inducing when the ladies find something really repulsive (like a toilet with stains all over it) then get right up in there for a big sniff, then say "OOOHH HORRIBLE!!"
Well, no kidding. Nothing in the world would make me sniff that disgusting grunge.
This show makes me feel good about my messy house. At least I don't have cat poop in my bed.

Oh, man, I LOVE this show. The filth is absolutely AMAZING! It makes me feel pristine by comparison, even though I dust and vacuum only when I see bunnies floating by.

I just started watching this show in the past 3 weeks! It's on BBC America at 7:30pm on weeknights. I recognized right away that it has a sort of car-wreck quality for me. I think, "I may be a lazy housekeeper, but my house doesn't look that bad!"
Mind you, speaking as a lazy housekeeper, I get how you can let things slide for a little while, and it becomes so overwhelming that it just seems easier to do nothing. But I get so angry at the people who get their house cleaned and then when they go back, you can just tell that it will be back to the way it was in two months.

Lifetime TV is airing shows in which Kim and Aggie are in the U.S. It's 10-11 on Sunday nights.
I think the most vile thing is the sniffing of the nasty whatever -- stained pillow, towel with brown spot, greasy kitchen gunk...
Some of the people clearly seem depressed--maybe they ought to throw in some Lexapro with the vinegar and baking soda.

It's fabulously disgusting. I was hooked when I saw the show with the scary little woman who let her birds loose in the house. The Scottish woman kept saying there was "poo" everywhere in that wonderful accent and I LOVED her. It came out more like "pew-oo." It makes me feel vastly superior that the worst of my offences is giant dust bunnies and messiness. Every night at 7:30, eh? Well, time to program the DVR!!

Oh, I love this show! I especially love watching them gross themselves out and then kinda giggle about it.
I keep hoping to see the episode where a chili-like slurry had developed in someone's oven broiler pan. No luck thus yet, but hope (like mold) springs eternal.
