missed this the other night, but I heard on NPR that it's really bad. I wanted to like it because I was hoping for another exciting show like Battlestar Galactica (plus Starbuck's in it!)

I'm now curious as to how badly it was retooled. I think I watched the version bstewart did - (and am now just as curious as to the rooftop music - I wanna say it's Muse?). The lead actress is pretty weak - even during her big "I know what I'm capable of!" moment to Miguel Ferrer. Bionic, please. Some of the other actors were really bad as well, especially with all the expositioning they had to do everywhere.
Did they recast the professor's dad? Because the dude from BSG is like, what, 5 years older than the professor?
Don't make your lead villain(ess) so much sexier and more compelling than the lead. Superman Returns had this problem: Parker Posey >>> Kate Bosworth.
How many eps is Bionic Starbuck in?
NBC's online player suuuuccks, but using Breathe Me during the emotional "finding her powers" moment? Oh no you didn't.

huntergrayson, Katee Sackhoff (Bionic Starbuck, hee) is in two episodes of this show. So that's probably how many I'll be seeing.
I thought it was OK, but the dialogue better improve:that whole "Why are you with me" conversation right out of the blue was just a poor way to get some exposition about the characters. It was stupid. The big fight scene was good though.
I totally expected better from a BSG producer. Boo NBC for "retooling" this...

I'm assuming the second is next week?
Isn't five (?) months a little soon in a relationship to be resorting to spicing things up by reconstructing your girlfriend out of robotic parts? Look, everyone loves a bionic designer vagina now and then, but if you have to keep things fresh this early, something's wrong.
Funny, the episode on NBC is "sponsored" by RE:E, so they keep showing ads and I'm like "*that's* how a woman should look while kicking-ass. Take notes, Michelle Ryan."
Sorry, the lead actress is incredibly fug IMO. Of course, the makeup department gave Katee those crazy lips, so...

I thiink the second is next week. They showed Katee in the previews for next week anyway, didn't they?
ITA, those were some ca-ra-zy clown lips on Katee at the bar.

I was SHOCKED when I saw her and how BIG her lips were. What were they thinking? Oh, that's right, they were thinking "Let's make this show SUCK!"

I rewatched both the pre-air and the aired pilot, back-to-back, with my BF last night and the music throughout was different. And much inferior. It made the entire effort feel less-dark and more pedestrian.
I'm trying to figure out the impact on nonbionic hips posed by bionic legs running superfast and jumping across buildings. I can't imagine the architecture in that region would be able to handle it very well. Not devoting even a throwaway, fake-explanation for that only adds to my skepticism.

I was rewatching it on the SciFi channel and when she came out of her coma the second time and felt her legs all I could think was "Gee, I hope that they didn't give her bionic stubble on her legs because that would suck." I mean, if you get life-like bionic legs at least have them be shaving-free.

I wasn't exactly thrilled with the show, I just hope that they get their shit together, because there is possibility.
I've seen Michelle Ryan in a few other things, and liked her very much. This role is doing nothing for her talent.
I blame the writing.
Katee? Yeah, I agree. Kick Ass!!!

I so wish this were the Katee Sackhoff Show. When she's onscreen, it's (for me anyway) involving and incredibly watchable, and I can't look away.
When she's offscreen....not so much.
