That reminds me of one of my favorite Peggy lines--IIRC, she's interviewing for a substitute teaching job in a Spanish class and tells the interviewer that she has a son at "la Escuela Intermediatamente de Tom Landry" with no Spanish accent or inflection at all.
I also thought it was funny that Bobby's middle school is named for our late lamented Cowboys coach, but since Landry's death, there are now several schools throughout the state named for him.

Oooooh the New Orleans episode is on! This thread is good Karma.
"You are a garden of women."
I love Gilbert. "He was a beautiful man. I knew him...briefly."
ETA: I really appreciate how Bill has gotten less pathetic too.

<--- Obviously, I love this show. I think one of my favourite episodes was when Bobby replaced Luann's birth control pills with sweet tarts, so she pretended to be pregnant, and Bobby thought he was the father. So to screw with him even more, Hank and Peggy convinced Bobby to marry Luann! So freaking funny, Bobby in his little suit, moaning "I don't think I'm ready for this....".
Also: 'That's my purse!!!!', and when Bobby turns into Bill after Connie dumped him. And the old lady who wants to die in their house on Christmas. Too many favourites to count! I'm glad they brought it back, even if it was pre-empted like every time.

<-- Another huge fan I have one small quibble continuity-wise with this show. Hank is clearly drawn to resemble his mother, and looks nothing at all like his father Cotton. However, Cotton's son with that Japanese woman was drawn to look like Hank's near-twin. How could that happen? I like that episode (the Hills staying in their hotel room's foyer while their complementary fruit basket rots behind the partition screen? Hilarious), but that continuity error bugs me. THANK YOU! I thought I was the only one this bothered!

I'm glad they brought it back, even if it was pre-empted like every time. I remember that being a big problem too. For a while I just gave up on watching it because I got sick of having to wait for a football game to end nearly every week. How much longer do you think the show will last?

I think they intended for Lucky and Luann's wedding to be a series finale, since FOX has been dicking them around for awhile canceling and then uncanceling the show, but I read they picked it up for one more year. So I don't know where the show goes from there.
I saw the episode where Peggy gets that gnome Winklebottom yesterday. She is so the type to get wrapped up in the lore of something like that.

I love the Winklebottom episode, because Hank is so freaked out by it! The scream when he first sees it and changing in the closet so the gnome can't see him are great. Also when he tells Peggy he destroyed it. "I bashed his weird little face in" or whatever he says. Oh Winklebottom.

I love Bobby too. My favorite episodes are the one where he's learning to kiss using Luanne's styrofoam head from beauty school, and the one where he's under the spell of the Ant Queen from his little ant colony.

Wow, this show is actually still on? Amazing! I think my favorite celebrity cameo was Snoop dog, in the episode where Hank inadvertently becomes a pimp. I also like the one where Luanne joins a sorority/cult and they were trying to convince her that her new name was Jane, but being as stupid as she is, she says something like, "It helps me to remember my name by thinking of a man named Lu and a woman named Ann, and they meet in a magical forest..." Something about Brittany Murphy's delivery cracks me up every time, causing my friends and I to repeat it constantly.
