I watched most of this season and almost none of last season. I depended on The Soup to recap all the crazy girl's freakouts last season. I think ultimately the thing that upset me the most was the mess they made of that huge house. How does that happen? I kept looking at the floor in each scene. It was always filthy. I couldn't live like that. I didn't live like that when I was their age either. It would disgust me to walk into a house that looked like that. Dunbar is a repulsive human being. I hope his parents are really proud of the man they raised.

I wonder if Julie's mother still worships Dunbar's ass? I mean, I know Julie is, like, blind to what an asshole her boyfriend is, but if that was the dude that was attached to my daughter, I'd be horrified.

I must have missed a couple eps because I had no idea that Parissa and the two girls that were left are now friends again. I did see some of the finale though.
What I want to see is the reunion show that they showed a little clip of. Parissa all up in Trisha's face again, telling her just how it is! ;D

I felt for Dunbar; an ex of mine is like him. He was abused physically, sexually, emotionally by his mother, then went to Vietnam and today has some serious PTSD. I really hope Dunbar gets some serious therapy before he even thinks of having a child of his own.

Bringing this thread back after 10 years to post this interview with David from the Seattle season, probably the last season I really watched the Real World and I still remember everything they talked about so it's retained more space in my brain than it should.

That was awesome, thanks for sharing it. I was ALL ABOUT The Real World for the first 10 seasons or so. Great memories.

That was great! I'm gonna need about thirty more articles just like that (featuring other cast members, preferably).
My all-time favorite line of his was, "Everyone thinks I'm gay! From coast to coast!"

I used to love binge watching Real World marathons on Saturdays and Sundays in college. It was my antidote to the dread I'd feel before having to go in and sling pizza all night on weekends.

I'd pretty much forgotten about the Real World, Road Rules and the Challenges. I think I last watched some challenges when I was unemployed. But, this morning I woke up from a dream where I guess I'd been on the Real World because I was somewhere tropical for one of the challenges.
In real life I've never been on the Real World and I am was never athletic enough for a challenge. I don't know where that came from. Or what it meant...
Thanks for that link, it was nice to revisit the good era of Real World.

That's so weird. I was literally thinking about the Hawaii season last night. I remember Tec, and Ruthie(?) the one that kept binge drinking and had to go to rehab. Needy Amaya(?) who fell for the casting guy that got put on the show, and how she chased after him and looked like a complete fool. Then I remembered maybe the season after that in San Francisco maybe? And 2 roommates got arrested in one night 5 minutes apart. I stopped after that season I think. I gave up on the Challenge around the same time. I am clueless as to who is still appearing on those, and why they don't have real jobs at this point. Shouldn't they be too old for those activities? And where are they mining contestants from? MTV doesn't even play reruns of RR or RW, so why would the people presumably watching the challenges be invested in them?
