I'm still so lost but loving this show! The acting is fantastic. Who knew Ed O'Neil could be that good?
The video from John was creepy, and it seems like he can hypnotize Cass. Why was Shaun signing with Luke Perry when he left the company and signed a no-compete? I love the lottery winner, but I don't quite get what his story is.

After Epsiode Two, I stopped watching. Not because I don't think it's great -- I do -- but because it just seems like the sort of show to save and get totally obsessed and O.D. on once autumn starts making its presence known. The tantalizing details you guys're posting about is heightening my anticipation. Two episodes left, right?

Blargh. Me neither. I hope by the end of it we'll at least know what John's story is though. (I also have no idea to what company Linc signed Shaun.) I wonder if John meant by, "Shaun will soon be gone," that he'll be gone with his real mother—as in, gone to a new city? I've a feeling that John does not mean "dead" by saying "gone." (And dammit! Why's it so impossible to get spoilers for this show?) Yes, bstewart, there are only two episodes left.

Canceled!
Oh, well, I guess now I can savour the whole series in a weekend. A rainy summer weekend.

That sucks that they couldn't give it at least one more season. None of the questions were really answered in the last episode and it looked like next season was going to be fascinating. Stupid HBO will keep Sex in the City going forever but not give this show a chance.

Sorry, this show was a train-wreck. Milch knew he had 10 episodes to convince the PTB that this show was worthwhile. It was just a confusing mess. Hard to believe he gave up Deadwood for this disaster.

Even with it being confusing I still liked the show. I thought it had potential. Not everything is going to find an audience immediately. Could the writing have been better, yes. But the acting was kick ass. Also, I know it's not everyone's thing but I like magical realism, which doesn't always make sense.
Another problem with the show finding an audience was that HBO sort of half-assed the marketing for the show -- and having it premier after the series finale of the Sopranos wasn't such a good idea. I just don't think the Sopranos audience is the right audience for a show about a surfing family/next coming family with 'hippy dippy' leanings Even with the dark undertones -- not the right audience.
Edited because I was obviously too high on my vicodin to really make sense.

I liked it, and I'm sorry it didn't get a second season. The finale wasn't everything that I wanted it to be, but it was still pretty darn good television. I'll take JFC over 95% of the crap that's on any day.
