I love the fact that they don't sit & whine about how difficult their lives are, how hard things are for them etc - they just get on with their lives. They seem very busy and energetic people and they are not sitting down letting life pass them by.
Anyone see the ep where the pumpkin throwing machine malfunctioned? That was pretty scary.

I didn't see the episode, but I saw a story about it on the local news the day it happened. It sounded pretty serious.

That was awful. Now if that comes on rerun I can't watch it because I know that it will be terrible.

I'm totally addicted to the show. I do think that the two oldest boys are a bit mouthy to their father, I know I would have gotten popped for talking to either of my parents like that, but the dad is a bit of a tool.
I understand that it must be frustrating for him to not be able to physically do all the things he wants to do, but he treats his help and his kids like shit. He uses the eldest son a bit too much, like the time the eldest son wanted to go on a camping trip with friends, his mom said yes, but he wanted him to work the farm at the last minute. Then he made it sound like he wanted him there for family time and not as free labor.

It was like "Okay, we feed you and love you and give you a place to live, now chip in." I think that the twins are a bunch of lazy slackers, especially the tall one.

I expressed myself poorly. I didn't have a problem with the free labor part, Grumpy Girl, I had a problem with the fact he didn't just come out and say, ... You live here you need to contribute instead of trying to say it was 'family time'. But I just don't like Matt much. He's too much of a salesman.

I think that the twins are a bunch of lazy slackers, especially the tall one. Agreed. I saw the episodes around/after Zack's (?) surgery and, while I could sympathize, he was such a whiner - and treated his siblings and parents like they were his personal slaves.

Gasp! Matt was just arrested for DUI (according to Perez). I saw that! It's gonna be hard to explain that away, Matt! I bet that his wife kicks his ass the whole way across the pumpkin patch and then throws him across the farm with the trebuchet!

Ha! I thought the same thing. You just know that Amy was pissed off when she had to go bail him out of jail.
