Well, I read all of those blind items, and I can't really say that I thought they were referring to Winona Ryder in any of them. Actually, so many actresses could fit those descriptions. They're too vague for me to pinpoint one actress. Maybe the part about the skeevy hotel room, because I had always heard that JD wasn't the cleanest guy. But when it was mentioned that the actress was tall and thin, like Julia Roberts, that doesn't seem like Winona.

The BI didn't say that; that was just a description some person gave of the picture that was with the article which was not of the actress in question. The only physical description was "literally a size 0" which does fit Winona. Even Sarah Jessica Parker is a size 2, so this must be somebody really tiny.

Did Winona ever have a pet dog? (Also, she may claim to have naturally blond hair, but it always looked just plain dark brown to me, not the "light brownish blondish" mentioned in the link.)

I read that she is a natural dirty blonde. That she colors herself brunette.

I wonder if that movie exec who dissed WR was someone who made an unwelcome pass at her. From what I hear, this happens a lot.
I've also heard that WR wasn't always the most gracious person. I remember hearing or reading that when they started making Reality Bites, Janeane Garafalo(sp?) offered WR her number, suggesting they hang a bit, get to know each other, partly to help them "act" like best friends, and apparently WR seemed to think it was a bizarre idea and took her number but in such a way as to make JG feel like an idiot.
She's not perfect, I know, but the girl who brought "Veronica Sawyer" to life gets a lifetime pass from me. Plus, I'd rather deal with her silly diva-ness than Natalie Portman's pretentiousness, any day.

From the Cosmo Blind Item That sounds like the The Godfather, Part III part when Miss Ryder became mysteriously ill after arriving for the shoot and had to be replaced by a very bad actress but the director's daughter, Miss Sophia Coppola. Thank goodness, Miss Coppola took up directing after that poor perfromance.

This is sort of off topic, but every time I see her name, I remember a steamingly hot Bangkok afternoon, walking through the temple of Wat Phra Kaeo and squeezing past the long lines to see the Emerald Buddha, all while wearing a hot, rented shirt, because it turns out you have to have your shoulders covered in the temples.
Sticky, tired, and gross, I finally made it outside, and there was a guy wearing a "Free Winona" t-shirt.
Hilarious. And also, bizarre.

You know, wasn't Christian Bale's wife an assistant for Winona at one time? Maybe she was one of the abused employees?
