Sure she brings the crazy but girlfriend will always be beautiful. As for her acting...I've seen better but I've also seen worse. She gets a lifetime pass from me for Edward Scissorhands. Then again, everyone in that movie gets a lifetime pass from me.

Wasn't it Winona that was the "blind vice" in Cosmo describing her as the meanest actress to work with? Along with being the most bitch crazy in Hollywood in regards to waiters and other forms of staff?
Anyone remember that thread in the other forum?
I think she is very beautiful. What a face. But if what we hear is true....

What happened to her? I mean, obviously the shoplifting thing wasn't good for her career but I never hear anything about her anymore. Does she have any projects lined up?

She's always annoyed me and I can't even say why, really. Maybe simply because she got so much praise for roles in movies that I didn't care much about. (Well, I did love Edward Scissorhands but that was because of Johnny Depp and Diane Weist, not her.)
I think she screwed herself big-time with the shop-lifting business by trying to make a joke of it -- She did a spoof of it on SNL and posed in some magazine with a "Free Winona" tee-shirt. The judge in the case made it clear he wasn't amused and that she clearly was trying to make light of what was, in reality, a crime.
Plus, I've never believed the story that Gwyneth Paltrow stole the script for Shakespear in Love from Winona's apartment. First of all, it sounds a little too -- All About Eve? Am I thinking of the right movie? Plus, is it really possible that the director and others in charge of casting would sort of kinda just forget that they'd offered the script for Ryder's review and simply accept Paltrow showing up with it to audition?

I like Winona as an actress, but she comes off like a total flake. Ooooh, poor me, I was caught shoplifting, oh, how DARE they arrest me!

Some of the worst acting I ever saw in a major movie was her in "Dracula".
"Save.Me.From.All.This. Death!"
Sounded like a goth version of William Shatner.
Man, did she chew up some scenery in that movie. God awful she was.
I remember reading that she thought so too. And at the premiere was shocked and morified. She said she couldn't forgive Coppola for not directing her, for letting her do that.
