I agree with the rest of you that it can happen. But, she claimed that it was still blonde and the only reason why no-one knew was because she started dying her hair at 13. That when she had it in that movie she did with Adam Sandler, that that was the color it's supposed to be now. In her True Hollywood Story, it shows pics of her when she was a small kid and her hair darkened significantly when she was a child. So she was bullshitting.

Word, Schmoosie, about Winona's voice. It was always my theory that her voice was one of the reasons why her career stalled, particularly as she got past her teen years. It's a shame. Maybe she should work with a voice coach.

Okay, watching the E!THS of her right now and so far I've come away with two conclusions:

1) Bitch dumb, I mean really dumb.

2) She pissed off the wrong person at E! because they are doing everything in their power to make her look like the biggest idiot ever. It's somewhere between 'vapid' and 'damn near lobotomy.'

Ugh. Me need sleep now.

By 'her beauty,' do you mean that as the THS ep went on she looked more and more haggard? The woman should have kept her hair as long as possible, she's aging quite badly and starting to turn from twig to 'gnarled old tree that might topple in a stiff breeze.'

Winona never used to do TV interviews, which was smart because she sounds like a moron when she talks. In print interviews, she comes off as plucky and intellectual (although in 15 years she hasn't progressed beyond JD Salinger as her primary interest, so I don't know).

I watched some of the THS and was amazed at how gorgeous she looked when promoting Girl Interrupted.

I didn't realize that E! was going to make her look like a dumbass (or highlight her dumbassness - depending on your outlook). I might have to watch it because I love when THS gets mean (and they rarely do these days).

I watched Edward Scissorhands for the first time yesterday. I think it's the only movie I've ever seen Winona in. I was watching to catch up on my backlog of Johnny Depp movies.

I had forgotten just how pretty Winona used to be. She was just so real and gorgeous looking in that movie. That said her acting was pretty flat and her speaking voice bugged the crap out of me.

Johnny Depp was just great - and nearly had me in tears by the end. I need to go find his thread to gush some more.

Oh, it was great. They pretty much went through her films chronologically and then interrupted it to showcase her involvement in that child murder (she was the one who ponied up the reward for it) and how devastated she was when the child's body was finally found. E! took special care to show how Ryder was affected and then came back to the actual family. It was done so manipulatively that I had to applaud: then the THS went on to show how poor wittle Ryder started having a downward slide.

So mean, so fun, A Number One.
