That is true, so I will give her credit for not freaking out at every little noise and assuming that everything is a haunting. But honestly - that seems like Jason and Grant's MO, and they expect their team to take the same approach and they are usually chastising their newbies for being a little too enthusiastic and jumping to conclusions. I'm surprised Donna lasted as long as she did, but maybe that's the reason why they kept her back in the office most of the time.
Hee. That's why I can't help but like Tango, even though he is kinda dorky. He practically has "I Want To Believe" tattooed on his forehead and as a result, he does get a little spooked from time to time, but he's just so genuine in his belief in his work and he wants to find proof so badly.
Steve, I think, is a good tech guy. He handles the equipment well and he's usually pretty good at reviewing the evidence (though on a personal note he gets a permanent black mark for me for saying that he hates reading and hates books and hasn't picked one up in years). But the dude seriously needs to learn how to NOT scream like a scared old woman every time he runs into a spider web.

I do have to hand it to Kris for going down there alone, and she looked SO pissed at herself for freaking out.
And also, "My name is Dave Tango and I'm a nice person." Aw, we know, Tango, we know. He is so damn sincere. Such a nice guy and, yeah, he is really into investigating. You could tell he was so psyched to finally have had his own personal experience. I can't believe he crawled under that porch, though. Gah.

Last night's episode wasn't as good as the premiere but I was still pretty entertained. I did like that Tango's dad shared his experience at the prison (Tango must take after his mom because I don't see any resemblance to his dad). The evidence they gathered at the prison wasn't the best but it did seem like they had a lot of personal experiences.
It was pretty obvious that Jason and Grant didn't believe the second location was haunted. I have to agree with them that the "ghosts" were probably the works of a child's overactive imagination. I have to give Kris credit for noticing that the little girl's room was full of princesses (women wearing long dresses) and butterflies. And the girl's ghost? A woman wearing a long dress with a butterfly on it. I think it's possible the little girl is scared of the dark and wanted to sleep with her mom. Their suggestions to help ease the girl's fears were pretty good I think.
The only thing that really irked me was when Steve declared, "In the name of Jesus Christ..." Steve, do you think this is Ghost Hunters:International?! Or Most Haunted?! Or even Paranormal State?! Have Barry, Donna, or Ryan been giving you tips on how to get reactions out of ghosts? If so, start ignoring them now! You are part of Ghost Hunters: Original Recipe! This show has the sane and cool people on it! Remember that!

I found that mildly irritating too. I understand that religion often plays into these investigations, and I think that is fine as long as the client is cool with it. And I know that the TAPS teams have brought in priests, etc. to their clients - but usually at their client's request or at least with their approval. I'm totally fine with stuff like that happening off-camera. But I think I prefer the on-camera stuff to remain a bit more neutral on that front.
The cases weren't that exciting, but I do like that they calmly explain that some locations aren't haunted and do what they can to help the client with their situation.

I thought the same thing.
Yeah, I like that if they don't think a place is haunted, they're up front about it and don't fake things to make the show interesting. I got the vibe that the daughter wanted an excuse to sleep with her mom, too. Didn't the mom say she and the daughter had recently moved there from out of state? She was in an unfamiliar place and I'm sure it was a big change, so maybe that was her way of staying close to her mom, where she felt safe. I love that Jason especially and Grant are always quick to investigate hauntings where a kid is involved.

We were at that prison filming. :-) About the Jesus comment, it's used not for the client's sake but for the spirit. If the spirit believes in the power of Jesus, that's what really matters.
As for the fears and phobias, etc, you'll find most people doing this work suffer from depression, anxiety or some sort of phobia. Strange but true! I think all of the people I've met, including the top people battle something.

Hee! Leener - you're at all the fun stuff, no? Deets! And the Jesus comment actually impressed me. I've been told in my life when every you feel like something is not right in regards to spirits, etc. You should say I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ. Like Leener said, if the spirit believes in this and/or the power of Jesus, that is what really matters. Last night was sorta yawn, but some interesting things did happen at random. I'm REALLY interested in next weeks, though. The moving picture frame on that table? Awesome.

I thought last night's episode was pretty enjoyable. I was bit more impressed with the footsteps than I usually am since Jason and Grant heard them while they were on the top floor. Plus, they did sound like the noise that boots make. The moving picture frame was pretty cool as well. I wish they had told us if Kris is just hypersensitive to EMF's or if something else was going on.
What was with Steve and his obsession with the headphone color? First off, I'm with Tango. They were red. Besides, what does it matter color they are as long as they work? I can't figure out if that's just Steve's humor or if he was bothered by their color. Finally, maybe I'm deaf but I didn't hear anybody saying, "Yessssss" when Tango asked if they missed their families.

Again, proof positive that Steve is an asshole. Seriously, I have never liked the guy much and he just annoys the hell out of me.
Mr. Spin started to get really agitated when Steve just wouldn't.drop.about.the.color of those headphones. Poor, Tango. Now that Brian is gone, did Steve need someone else to pick on? Hate.
But yes, I agree that this was the best episode of the season so far. That moving photo, not once, not twice but three times was a trip! And to get it on film was brilliant! Something is really going on in that place. The boot sounds were so clear, I would have thought that someone was really coming into their room!

"Oh, he's an asshat." I also didn't hear the "yes" when they asked about the missed families. I will say that the picture frame did creep me out.
