Does anyone know what happened to Brian on GHI? Did he get the boot once again? They accounted for Donna's absense (Chrohn's disease flare-up, I believe) but haven't said a peep about Brian being gone. For once, he hadn't been annoying. Andy, on the other hand...

Apparently, Brian has officially retired and Donna has left for health reasons. Both of them were on a talk radio show a couple weeks ago and discussed this choice. The radio site has their broadcast up to listen.

New episodes started last night with the original gang. This was an uber creepy one and they got some amazing EVPs that were clear as a bell. Not to mention video footage of a shadow unlocking and open/closing a door. Awesome. I missed these guys! But not Steve. No, no siree. He's STILL going on about Tango's RED headphones?!?

Oh, dang. I missed it. I didn't realize that it was new this week. I'll have to check and see when Sci-fi will repeat it - sounds like a good episode.

I know, I couldn't believe he was still ragging on Tango for the red headphones. Let it go, dude, it's not funny.
The "leave me alone" EVP freaked me the hell out. Crystal clear.

Has anyone else been keeping up with this season?
I'm a little iffy on this K2(?) meter thing. It ALWAYS produces something. That just seems rather strange.
Does anyone know exactly what it is supposed to be measuring (I'm sure Grant explains it every single episode, but I've missed it)?

I've been watching each week. And I'm kinda meh about the K2 meter, too.
However, I like that Jay and Grant don't base it on their entire investigation. It's supposed to measure EMFs, a lot like the EMF reader, but a little different. The K2 meter uses lights to indicate the energy instead of a needle, flashing and then finally staying lit at the level found with the meter.
The last two episodes have been freaky. Both times they've recorded and heard some seriously f-ed up voices that were so clear. I mean, really there was no questioning what is being said.
Last night, Jay was in a bedroom and voices came from his closet. Clearly, one said "Just leave now!" in a VERY deep, angry voice.
The night before, they recorded a voice that came from the second floor of a MASSIVE 16-story run down train station that said "GO HOME!!!" was heard all throughout the place. I mean, that shit freaked me and Mr. Spin out. not to mention the creepy, hunched figure caught on the thermal and confirmed that it was not human/animal because at that same time, they had a regular camera on the same location, and nothing was there.
I just hate how the team always tells the client that "Oh, there's nothing to worry about". Oh, sure. Strange voices that are angry and hostile isn't anything to be worried about.
Especially when they take Jay's shoes and move them to a secured and locked part of a place. (He took off his flip flops last night at the foot of some stairs and POOF one disappeared. Hee!)

Oh, I missed that about Jason's flip-flop! Honestly, I was too busy worrying about the ghost that tried to knock him down the stairs or I was too busy thinking, "Jason wore flip-flops to an investigation? In front of clients? Does he think he's on vacation? I mean, it's Florida, but come on! And aren't those loud to walk in when you're trying to listen for strange noises?"

I thought it was weird that Jason had flip-flops too.
The "Go home!" voice totally freaked me out. Very scary, and very angry.
I think when they tell people there's nothing to fear, what they mean is that the ghosts aren't doing anything to actually hurt them (even if they sound mad -- although I think sometimes, maybe they're not mad at the workers/people who live there, but mad at TAPS for coming in and poking and prodding at them). By the same token, yeah, I think, "What do you mean, nothing to be afraid of?! That guy's pissed."
