Not to mention that, like, a month ago, Brian was posting MySpace bulletins saying he was done with TAPS (and alluding, again, to the fact that he was being all picked on by the other TAPS members), and that he, Donna and Andy Andrews were starting their own paranormal investigation group. Hmm, what happened to that, Brian? He's like a little kid -- he screws up, then acts like he's being picked on when someone calls him on it.
I love Tango. He seems like such a sweetie, and the ep when he was running and wouldn't let go of Dustin because, essentially, he was scared? Cracked me up.

What is this new girl Kristen supposed to be adding to the show? All she does is lie/stand there and look slightly out of it and then say "Oh yeah... yeah, I heard that." She's a cute, nubile young thing adding more viewers by appealing to the young male demographic (that said, I covet her hair).

Exactly.
There are some ego's getting inflated on that show. Believe it or not Grant and Jason who are still down to earth, it's the others who think they are stars or something. But they disappointed me by the addition of the actress/model who they are trying to say isn't.

She seems sweet, and this is a jerky thing to say, but her voice drives me crazy. Who talks in that high-pitched baby voice all the time? Jeez.

Jason posted on his MySpace blog that Kris aka The New Girl has been a long time friend of the T.A.P.S. gang for years. Supposedly, she always expressed interest in the paranormal but has only recently been able to join the gang. I don't know how I feel about her yet. She doesn't bug me but at the same time I kinda wonder if she comes along to give the guys some eye candy.
My DVR recorded an ep about the Stanley Hotel. Call me a coward but I wouldn't have lasted one night there. What blew my mind is that Jason's closet door is opening and closing on it's own and he's talking about it in a tone that I would use to tell a waiter my steak was overcooked. I would have been freaking out. Yes, I am a wimp. Also, Grant and Jason hearing the voice saying, "Hello" was freaky.
ETA: Heh. I have a feeling that the Ghost Hunters spin off is the new paranormal group is what Brain is talking about. But if I read the press release correctly it's not a brand new group. It sounds like they are still members of the TAPS group. My guess that Brain (once again) forgot equipment and didn't do what he was supposed to do (again) and Grant and Jason jumped on him for it (again). And to make himself feel better he posted a half truth on his blog to make it sound like other people were against Jason and Grant. Why was he allowed back?

I've been totally underwhelmed by the new season. Mostly because I just don't think the locations they're going to are all that interesting. There's only so much you can do with a location that just doesn't feature that much activity.
Count me in as one of the viewers who thinks Kristen is an irritating waste of space.
And as for Brian and "Ghost Hunters International"—I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually think he was being treated unfairly by the rest of TAPS' team members. Though the tension between all of them is artificially amped up like it is for any other "reality" series, the conflicts between Brian and Jason seemed legit to me. I think the main problem is that Jason is something of a bullying control freak attention hog, and Brian wasn't as interested in kissing his ass as the others are, so Jason in particular really had it in for him. I'm surprised that we haven't seen more "issues" between Jason and Grant (who seemed to be defending Brian in a couple of eps) arise as a result of the Brian situation. So, I guess I'm kinda happy that Brian got his own opportunity via the spin-off. I'm also glad to see Andy involved in that project (I think Andy was disliked by Jason, Grant and sometimes Steve for reasons similar to the ones they had for disliking Brian).

I get the impression that Jason really isn't interested in taking crap, while Grant can be a bit more forgiving. All the same, it really sounded like Brian continually flaked out on them because of his girlfriend, and I didn't blame them for giving him the boot.
The completely staged discussions between Brian and Jason and Grant when he first came back were pretty darn silly.

Yeah, that's another thing about the newer episodes that I don't love overly much: the re-enactments of the behind the scenes stuff are becoming more awkward and noticeable. Like, I get that they have to do something to provide each episode with a linear structure, but please. Some of it just isn't necessary.
Oh, and by the way, for any real ghost hunters we've got around here—is there really a relationship, as they mentioned in the last episode, between poltergeist activity and geographical areas with a lot of limestone deposits?

Yeah, but Brian did quit twice, and they gave him second (and third, and now fourth, apparently) chances.

I was surprised to find, while Googling around about them the other day, that some people don't like TAPS. I don't know why it surprised me, as what TAPS does is more than a little controversial in the eyes of mainstream society, but I thought I'd post a link anyway, for those interested.
