I'm so sad for him and his situation. He needs extremely heavy, intense therapy: no cameras or payment allowed. Otherwise, it's over for him, sooner than later. Jesus.

He looks a lot thinner than he is on the show. His favorite drug Norco (aka Vicodin) will do that, won't it? So will cocaine, which is also one of his favorites.
He needs to get rid of Vicki. Although he's been a junkie since Grease, he was sober for 14 years at one point (and funnily enough, during this time was a 12-step counselor for a junkie by the name of Bob Forrest). Oprah Magazine had an article on Celebrity Rehab that implied he got back into cocaine when he started dating Vicki - they were snuggled up on the couch, he said he'd love some cocaine, so she called a dealer and that was it.
He doesn't want to be sober right now, and he never will be as long as Vicki is around.

Yes, Norco will cause weight loss. Matthew Perry is an excellent example. I myself went from 140 lbs to 98 lbs within three months after taking them for kidney stones. I imagine adding Cocaine to the mix only makes it worse.

So Dr. Drew has arranged for them all to do three months of sober living free of charge...and most of them still looked squirrelly about it. Much like the junkies on Intervention, I expect next week to see a lot of hemming and hawing "Gotta put my affairs in order, there's not enough time" etc. The usual excuses. My point? It's three months, not 12.
It's funny how people can and will rationalize away anything. These are not A-list celebs. Anyone on this show was not buzzing about weighing career choices. They can 'spare' another 90 days. I realize it's all just part of the disease, but frustrating to see it play out again and again.

Aw jeez Louise. How can he afford Scientology? Maybe they're just in it for the built-in publicity.

Right. How long has he been clean since this $cienotology miracle? Maybe he and the $cienos should wait a bit before they go bragging on this shit. I just can't see this guy staying clean, but the one good thing about another relapse would be the negative press the cult and their drug program would get.

Good point, Nadia. They (Scienos) are in it now for good & for bad. Although if it all goes wrong, they'll natch deny that he was ever a member, I'm guessing.

They've already done that, especially Jessica. I fail to see how getting free room and board is going to *prevent* her from paying her bills. It is going to be much, much easier for her to get a job & arrange transportation, etc. if she has a place to stay and all her basic needs taken care of. She'd rather just be put directly on the streets? I don't get that logic.
Besides, prior to Celebrity Rehab, she was spending days at a time in hotel rooms getting drunk/high all day with sheets covering the windows. Somehow she got by then.

Bumping for the new season. Did anyone watch?
I didn't watch the whole episode, but Jeff Conway is back and more fucked-up than ever. He's back on coke and oxycontin, and Vicki physically assaulted him before he went to treatment.
There's another former American Idol contestant (Nikki?) who has a similar story to Jessica. Drugs and booze, and her mom recently died from an overdose.
Gary Busey is there, but is insisting that he is a "participant" and not a patient. He's been sober for 13 years, his sobriety is safe and strong, and the only reason he is there is to help the others. He's already giving Shelly a bunch of shit about the cell phone rule, and had a little confab with Dr. Drew and Bob because he didn't like being lumped in with the other addicts, and wanted everyone to see him as some kind of counselor and not as another recovering addict. Dude is seriously delusional.
