Whoa, this is some bad, even for VH1, programming!
We're watching the ANTM marathon today and they keep showing commercials for it. I feel wrong for just seeing glimpses of it. Dr Drew is on my shit list.
One guy on the commercial looked so familiar but I couldn't figure out who it was, just that I knew at one point of my life i thought he was attractive. I think it was Jeff Conway, man he looked terrible!

JC is in the cast, so it probably was him.
Yeah, this does seem to be in poor taste. But I must admit I am totally going to watch at least the first episode. I love Intervention on A&E, and this seems to be along the same lines - except much, much trashier.

I had a feeling something like this was going to happen. So many celebs willing to trash themselves for fame, so why not this way. Kinda sad.

I bet Dr. Drew is pissssssed that Jessica Sierra is currently in the clink for getting drunk and going nuts. Doesn't make him look like he's very good at his job.

Doesn't make him look like he's very good at his job. yeah, it doesn't look good, although if I remember correctly from listening to Loveline, he'd probably say that the intensive rehab was only one piece of treating her addiction and that she didn't keep up on the maintenance afterward. |

I think this throws a lot of Dr. Drew's credibility out of the window, which makes me happy. I haven't liked him since a couple of appearances on Tyra Banks's talk show where I thought he was clearly pandering to Tyra.

Dr. Drew is an ass. I've disliked him ever since he was on The Man Show and insisted that every sex worker and stripper has been sexually abused. Uh, not me dude. I hate that brand of "woman is damaged that's why she does (something subversive)." F*ck you, Dr. Drew.
And, yes, I'll totally watch.
ETA: Dr. Drew, not Dr. Dre. Heh.

The actors are WAY too enthusiastic at the outset describing their various addictions, as if doing so will get them positive attention. Then you can tell the light switches on: "Oh wait, I'm supposed to stop this stuff now? While the cameras shoot my detox?" Oy.

That seems to be his theory on whats wrong with every woman that has problems. I expect him to blame menstrual cycles next.
Stupid Drew. I refuse to watch his show. The guy that details my car offers better advice than him.

I happen to catch the first episode of this and...damn. Jeff Conway is a mess. He spent nearly all of the episode mumbling incoherently while sitting in a wheelchair. And he's got a lovely girlfriend who will hold the straw for him while he snorts a few lines - because he's too messed up to hold it himself. Nice.
Honestly, this was kinda painful and uncomfortable to watch. Chynna seems like a nice lady underneath the dysfunction, and Brigitte seems to be very aware that she has a drinking problem, but all these people are seriously effed up.
