Ummmmm..... *taking a deep breath and mumbling toward the floor*, I love the song "Daughters" by John Mayer. I will turn up the radio to full blast and sing along wholeheartedly whenever I hear it.

About 90 percent of everything mentioned on the last 6 pages is currently on rotation in my Creative Zen right now. I am THAT pathetic.
I might add a few:
How Do I Make You by Linda Ronstadt and A Little More Love by Olivia Newton John ( both wailing angst chick love songs) and almost anything by Gary Numan or Devo or the B52s. Or Weird Al.

(Well, I don't have 90% of everything mentioned, but I have a Creative Zen with embarrassing music on it). You mean people shouldn't like Weird Al? I saw him in concert just after Poodle Hat was released and it was awesome. I wear that concert t-shirt with pride.

At the stoplight the other day, I was caught singing along to Barbra Streisand (I have the greatest hits CD; quit your snickering). I tried to act like nothing was wrong as the hipsters in the BMW were snickering and staring, but I really couldn't wait until the light changed. Now my secret's out in the streets.
Anybody else have any caught in the act stories?

Don't tell anyone on the Weezer message boards, but I love "Fantasy" by Mariah Carey, and "Bill$ Bill$ Bill$" and "Jumpin' Jumpin'" by Destiny's Child. I even bought Destiny's Child's first CD, only to find out all the other songs on it sucked.

I had a bunch of mp3s by the dance group E-Rotic on my Zen Touch, but I was lazy and hadn't fixed the ID tags yet so they had track numbers in front of them and were at the top of the list of "all tracks." While standing on line I was listening, and a friend took it out of my hands and looked at "all tracks". And there he saw all the sexual song titles. I should mention that the friend in question is a Christian and runs the Bible discussion group at our school.

Dude, I'm kinda over the song now, but I did once love it unabashedly. I don't see anything wrong with liking it. I got your back on this one, ladymadonna!

Ugh. That's the worst thing about downloaded music: trying to fix the ID tags so that you can sort by artist or song or album. I was a big Napster Ho back in the day, and I'm still fixing song info and checking to see if the songs were copied clean to the end. Because of the prodigious amount of still I downloaded, I'll be cleaning up that crap forever...

Hmm, can't say I've ever been ashamed/guilt-ridden over any of the stuff I like to listen to, so, maybe I'm a music sociopath or something. However, I guess I should be embarrassed to admit I really liked:
A song called Timothy. I couldn't recall who recorded this and there are other songs with same title, but the one I'm talking about is from the sixties (I think). IIRC, it's a somewhat uptempo little tune about cannibalism. But hey, I actually thought the melody was kinda catchy and I liked the backup music.
Space Games - As with Timothy I don't remember the name of the guy/group who made it, but I think I used to hear it on an R&B/Dance station back in the 70's (maybe early 80's). Anyway, it's this completely ridiculous song about some guy confessing/describing his hopeless addiction to his favorite video game. But hey, you could have fun dancing to it. And, whoever recorded it seemed to have a goofy sense of humor. I can appreciate that.

I really really like 'Oh' by Ciara, though I think it's more of a credit to her producers and Ludacris than it is to her.
