Too bad you and your generation didn't heed her advice and listen to them. Maybe that would have stopped Brit, Nsync, and the Backstreet Boys from becoming your generation's U2, REM, and Nirvana.
Back to topic:
If you get the chance go see Pearl Jam. EV played the Beatles' You've Got To Hide Your Love Away.
Here was the set list:
Set 1 Release, World Wide Suicide, Life Wasted, Severed Hand, Comatose, Given To Fly, Low Light, Corduroy, I'm Open, I Got Id, Even Flow, Unemployable, Daughter/(W.M.A.), Present Tense, Do The Evolution, Jeremy, Save You, Porch Encore 1 You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, Better Man, Come Back, State Of Love And Trust, Black, Alive

That was a good one and very true! It sounds like it was a great concert. Better Man is one of my favorite songs ever! I'm jealous just because of that song!

No one puts on a show like U2. Nobody! Giant lemon and all. I luurve seeing them live. Popmart was the most amazng show I've seen in my life.

I hated PopMart. Maybe it was because I had shitty seats and couldn't see anything. Because I adored ZooTV.
All I remember is some girls wearing t-shirts that said "DO YOU FEEL LOVED?"
But Radiohead... next month... *Homer Simpson drool*

Popmart remains my only U2 live experience so far (because they never come near me, seriously. I try not to take it personally.) and even though I'm sure there have been better U2 tours, I still loved it. Tears were shed, oh yes, they were. Going way back up in the thread...dude, going to concerts by yourself can be a great experience. Because if the show is general admission, one wee person can worm her way right smack up to the front a lot better than a group of people can. I get the best views when I'm alone!

Zoo TV was my favorite and Zooropa a close second. Although all U2 concerts are amazing and have loved them all. I do wish I had gone to Joshua Tree since I hear that was the one to go to. Now I'm counting down the days to Madonna. Six days to go. I'm very excited.

I saw them in Indy for the Joshua Tree tour. It was a great concert. Best memmory was the whole place kept on singing 40 while we were leaving Hoosier Dome. They also came on stage as a fake warm up band becasue Los Lobos was late.

My friends and I saw more than a dozen shows on the Joshua Tree tour thru Europe, summer of '87 just before heading to university. Most amazing time of our lives.
