My PBS station plays Live at Red Rocks every once in awhile. The one camera with the ruined camera lens bugs the hell out of me every time I watch it.
ETA: Someone who posts here was at that concert.
6'4" 140lbs? Your hockey equipment weighed as much as you did.

I have seen it twice, but rented. Never on PBS. I should look for it.

Yep. But I looked like I was 6'4" and 240 in my gear. Noone came near me. Heh. Busted. Why own a video? I have never understood that. Spend big bucks on something to watch 1 or 2 times. Not me, I prefer to spend my money on things like smokes.

Buying these things would also make more sense if they'd release the damn things on DVD. I would not be adverse to owning Zoo TV: Live in Sydney, but I'm off to college in a few months and can't be assured of having access to a VCR. I've got a lot of rather ecclectic music tastes, so the first really big concert I've ever been to was actually the Vertigo tour a few months ago. Ear-ringy bliss. I'm amused, though, that my Vertigo shirt doesn't actually say "U2" on it. Just "Vertigo Tour 2005" with the little target symbol. I guess they just assume everyone should know.

Best concert for me?
Oy, so many to choose from.
U2 Popmart tour - I was at the kick off show in Vegas. It was my first U2 show, and to be at the kickoff show was pretty damn cool.
U2 Vertigo this past September was amazing. We had floor seats, but didn't get into the pit. Instead, we stood back by the sound board and just watched on the jumbotrons. It was great to have plenty of room to dance, sing and scream like freaks.

Does anyone here like/know much about Ben Folds Five? I've heard a few of their songs, but I don't remember being all that into it. Are there any songs you can recommend? The reason I ask is because there are rumors that Ben Folds and Talib Kweli are coming for our annual end of the year deal. Maybe because the only song I remember from Ben Folds is "Brick" I feel like they won't lighten the mood, but maybe all their music isn't like that? I have no idea who the second guy (girl?) even is, so if anyone knows anything about him/her I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I know a little about Ben Folds (Five), since they started off here in NC, where I live. For one thing, it's just Ben Folds now. The "Five" (which were actually just three of them) broke up a few years ago, I believe. As for the music, Brick is hardly indicative of the rest of the songs off that first album. Most were actually quite upbeat and fun. I haven't heard the stuff he's done since, but I would say there's a good chance that he's still doing fun, upbeat stuff. He was pretty personable and lively when I used to see him back in the day, so I think you should get a good show out of him.
There's a website called allofmp3.com that is a good place to preview albums, so you might want to go there and check out more of his music.

Baby's Got the Power! Tower of Power. Last night. House of Blues, Cleveland. Oh. My. Goodness. This show was so awesome. Words fail me. I was close enough to the stage that Emilio (lead tenor / vocalist) singled me out during "Diggin' on James Brown" and put the mic in my face - sweet! And then he said "the girls know how to party!" - he came around one more time and put the mic back down on me again and I pulled my friend Liz into the fray, too. What a hoot! After the kick-ass show, as we were leaving, we were standing in the lobby area buying souveniers (Liz got a shirt, Dave bought me a mousepad, and I got a license-plate frame), Larry (lead singer) was out there, so I got his autograph. Then Iron Mike (Trumpet player) came out and I got his autograph on the set list, and then lo and behold, David f'n Garibaldi (drummer extraordinaire) came out. Swoon.... I was slighty shy and apprehensive, but I also got him to sign my set list as well. We then proceeded over to the Irish Pub next door, where we ended up hanging out with Iron Mike and Tommy Politzer (tenor sax). Naturally the topic steered itself towards people we know in common (it is a small world, afterall). Both Liz and Tommy had Rob S's (another musician in a relatively popular band) # in their phone - it was a race to see who could connect first. Tommy won, but we all ended up talking to Rob in turn. I haven't seen Rob since last summer in Niagara Falls, so it was nice to say hello to him. Funny how small the music biz is, eh? Anyway. The show was phenomenal. If you get a chance to see TOP, don't pass it up.
