If I haven't told my Indigo Girls roadie story, let me know if you want to hear it. One if the best stories EVER, though it hinges on possibly offensive language.... Would love to hear your Indigo Girls roadie story.

Yes! You had me at "offensive."
Side note: Have you ever played at the Stone Pony?

Would love to hear your Indigo Girls roadie story. I would love to hear it as well. I used to work with a guy who was a blue grass musician, and had toured with them early on in what I think it was a 'we were all on the same circuit' thing rather than he was their 'opening act'. According to my friend they all called themselves 'The D-'word we can't say here's and the Dude" and he always said really great things about them. And now I'm missing my friend. He was one of those friends that, 20 years later you're talking to your husband and saying "Remember when Dude said..." and "Remember that time Dude did blahblahblah?"

Ok, here goes....
A guy I was pretty good friends with for a while, was the tour manager for Nine Inch Nails on the first Lolopalooza tour. I sorta joined his band when they recorded at my studio, but only played in public with them once. On all the sessions, I played bass, but told them repeatedly they needed to find a regular bass player.
Anyway, he had a buddy who was a lighting rigger that went on to work with Indigo Girls after Lolopalooza ended. He was one of the guys that climb up into the truss work above the stage to aim and focus the light fixtures.
One day, while on the IG tour, he is up in the light rig, and discovers a wire has come loose on a light, and requires the wire to be stripped and re-attached. He reaches for the diagonal cutters in his tool belt, and discovers he forgot to put it around his waist. He looks down and sees it laying on a road case, next to his coffee cup.
Rather than climb down, retrieve his belt, and climb back up, he calls down to his buddy on the stage hooking up some other piece of gear:
"Hey, man, I left my tool belt on that case down there. Do me a favor, and toss me up a pair of dikes."
Just as Amy and Emily walk onto the stage to start sound check.
No amount of explaining that "dikes" is slang for diagonal cutters or wire strippers could save his job that day.
ETA: my parenthetical confused even me!

Just saw Billy Joel at MSG. AMAZING show! He played for an hour and 45min, then did a 6-song encore! He still sounds great. The energy of the crowd was great. His between-song banter was great. I loved it!!!
If you have a chance to see him at one of his residency shows there, you must. I believe they will keep adding dates as long as the tickets keep selling. I want to go again!

I saw him in concert with Elton John about 20 years ago. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

I saw him in Philly and he was great there too! 6-song encore and unlike most of the performers I've seen recently *coughMadonna*, he actually started fairly close to the time he was supposed to, as well. The crowd was SO into this show and I haven't seen a tailgate situation like that since college, so there was great people watching too.

This was a couple weeks ago, but I saw the Dixie Chicks on their first tour in ten years, and they were fantastic. No new songs, but they did a few covers including "Nothing Compares 2 U" in honor of Prince, and "Daddy Lessons" from Beyonce's Lemonade. They also did a bluegrass instrumental medley that included songs you'd never think would be in a bluegrass instrumental medley, like "I Can't Feel My Face."
Minimalist stage presentation - everything and everyone in black and white, with just a giant screen behind them that gave some awesome visuals. Show was over two hours long (they also started on time) with minimal chitchat in between the sets. Natalie's voice was excellent, Martie didn't hit a sour note the entire night and Emily was amazing on all the instruments she played.
And they haven't backed away from the political stuff. Planned Parenthood was there as one of the vendors, a group registering people to vote, and another group that advocates for people wrongly convicted of crimes (Natalie was a supporter of the West Memphis Three and before the show they played some video from the group that featured Jason Baldwin of the WM3). And during "Goodbye Earl" they showed mug shots of old-timey criminals from like the 1920s, then it moved forward to show the mug shots of more modern/famous domestic abusers/murderers, like OJ Simpson, Chris Brown, and Robert Durst. Then very briefly, Donald Trump, which got the biggest cheer of the night.
Apparently, they played in North Carolina last night and handed out hats that said "No Hate in My State" with the transgender symbol on them.

Adele brought the house down in Philly tonight. Her voice was AMAZING. She is stunningly gorgeous, funny, adorable perfection. She shouted out to the nosebleed seats so many times because she is a lovebug. There were two stages, the main one at one end of the arena and a much smaller one right in the middle. We were only 25' from the small one, which is where she began the show (with "Hello") and ended it by chatting for a long time and then did "Set Fire to the Rain." Encore was "Rollin' in the Deep."
She divulged that she originally wrote 25 entirely about her son, but the record company didn't like that, so she went back and wrote new material but kept two or three of the songs about the baby. She sang "Sweetest Devotion" and it was probably the most conviction and emotion I've ever felt from a performer -- and it's not like she phoned ANY of it in! It was just a gorgeous moment.
Most importantly, she has a tattoo of a dove on her right shoulder and SO DO I. I'm pretty sure the best friendship will be underway soon. Just have to fix the small matter of her not knowing that I exist...
