But is it normal for people to go to concerts by themselves?
...although I do enjoy going to movies by myself... Because I'm lame.

But is it normal for people to go to concerts by themselves? Why not? I went by myself when they played in Toronto in 2003. Would you rather regret not going? All I know is they're coming here too in June (2 nights!) and I am crossing my fingers right now!

I just called my friend...she does indeed like Radiohead and said she'd love to go. Hopefully we're able to get tickets. Unfortunately our chances are minorly diminished by the fact that I can only go on June 29th, because I think I have a wedding rehersal dinner to go to on the 30th, plus the fact that it probably wouldn't be wise to go to a concert the night before I have to be in a wedding party. But, if all goes well, I'll be seeing Radiohead! Cross your fingers for me. I'm so freaking excited and hope it all works out well.

THTM goes to movies and concerts by himself often enough (because he ain't gonna get me to go see Coldplay!) and I have to go see The Donnas by myself all the time because no one I know likes them. *sniffle* 'Sides, I'd rather go by myself and enjoy it than with someone who I know will be bored.

Tickets don't go on sale until May 25. I get home on the 20th, so I'm hoping I won't have started work yet. I'd like to devote my morning to trying for tickets...and being lazy. Seriously, and the day before that, Strangers With Candy debuts in NY and LA. Those would be the best two consecutive days in my life if I were able to see that, followed by Radiohead the next day!

But is it normal for people to go to concerts by themselves? ...although I do enjoy going to movies by myself... Because I'm lame. I've seen Strokes, Killers, Placebo and Neko Case all by myself. The only one that I wished I had a companion at was Strokes. It would have made it better. Placebo was good, what made it suck was that it was an all-ages show. Seeing movies alone isn't lame! When I could walk to the movie theater, I would go by myself all the time. I would much rather see a movie alone than a concert, though.

Okay, all this "going to concerts alone" stuff is making me feel alot better. I have no problem whatsoever going to the movies alone, but concerts - well, the idea of going solo seemed a bit daunting. However, the Goo Goo Dolls and Poison are both touring, and none of my friends like them. That leaves me, myself and I.
Lemme think about it...

I went to my first "solo" concert back in January. It was(cough)Bon Jovi (cough). No one I know likes them and it was a night away from the kiddies. Don't tell my Springsteen friends. I'll get kicked out of the club

I just got back from seeing Imogen Heap and god damn that woman can sing! She was really funny and talked to the audience a lot. She was just fucking amazing because basically she is her own band. She had two keyboards, a laptop, and anothor stringed instrument she played while she sang. It was one of the best concerts i've been to.
