I really enjoy both of Natasha Bedingfield's singles. I may even get her album.

I like Guns N' Roses' version of "Sympathy for the devil" better the Rolling Stones' version.

"How Deep is Your Love" is my favorite song ever. Ever.

I agree with this UNLESS we're talking about the "Goodfellas version" with the long piano solo towards the end of the song. Radio just doesn't seem to play that at. all. Without the piano solo it's just another classic rock tune that some just-past-middle aged drunk who still has a radio show cranks out every morning while I try and get ready for work.

^^ I can't hear that piano solo anymore without thinking of Goodfellas. Speaking of that soundtrack, I love the Sid Vicious version of "My Way" better than Sinatra's. And I love me some Sinatra.

I like Celine Dion. There. I said it. I have several songs of her on my ipod and I am sick of feeling ashamed dammit.
And if the acoustic version of Layla is what you guys are talking about, I agree. I love that track but only when it is not the faster version of that song. I also love Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" I don't know if that is unpopular or not.
And Britney Spears, I am one of those that love her music the first 245 times I hear it, but it gets so old and so overplayed that I cannot bear to hear it anymore. None of her songs stuck with me, that goes for the Backdoor Boys and N'Suck. Love their music when I heard it on TRL until it got retired, but you get sick of it in a very short time.

Don't feel bad, fflover -- I don't always like the songs she chooses, but the woman has a phenomenal voice and seems like a nice human being. "That's the Way It Is" is my favorite Dion song -- the rhythms mimic the movement of a horse as it changes gaits, and the lyrics kind of helped me get through a period of low confidence with one of my horses, plus it's just a cool song. Even Mr. Sunnyhorse, who generally shares musical tastes with Topher, as far as I can tell, likes it.
I love the long version of "Layla," but the first time I heard that crappy easy-listening version, I wanted to hunt down Eric Clapton and slap him -- he managed to drain all the intensity from a powerful song.

I'm not a fan of anything Clapton has done post-Cream. Well, except for the song "Cocaine". Only because in middle school my best friend's brothers had a band and they would always play that. They played at an 8th grade graduation party in the backyard of one of our classmates. When they got to the song "Cocaine" we got everyone in the class to yell "cocaine" everytime it was sung. After a few times, one of the moms came out and asked the band to stop.
Good times.

I hate emo and everything similar to it. I hate almost all of modern indie rock that all the cool kids listen to. On the old site, I'd get really great movie and book recommendations, but whenever I tried to listen to the songs/artists everyone was excited about, I'd end up not getting the love at all.
I also dislike "soul music" and such, because it seems deathly boring to me.
If you put these two together, it pretty much guarantees that I'll hate anything someone here would recommend. But it doesn't mean that I don't like you guys. Just the music you like.
