In the immortal words of Homer Simpson: "Rock stars...is there anything they don't know?"

I never understood why Joss Stone was so special. She's a British girl who sings. She doesn't write her own music or do anything particularly interesting aside from make crappy "soulful R&B" covers of fairly decent songs. Meh.

I don't like Dido, Coldplay or Joss Stone. So bland, so freaking boring.

I still love The Dave Matthews Band, in fact I just paid an exorbitant amount of money to go see them at Red Rocks. (Which, man, if you know Red Rocks, it is sooooo worth it to see your favorite band there). I hated the new album, but I remain faithful to my DMB. After all, they put on a hell of a show. I don't really have anything else to say on topic, because most of my muscial opinions are unpopular as a rule . Phish is overrated. Moe. doesn't do it for me, and I hate it that the Grateful Dead are back to calling themselves that without Jerry. That is all.

Apparently her record company wanted people to think she was black. I heard somewhere that Angie Stone or some other singer sang backup or something on her first album.

I really dig Joss Stone. And in context of this discussion, does that make it an Unpopular Musical Opinion now?

I love Bob Seger, he reminds me of my childhood. And I don't care who knows it.

I don't like the Beatles. With the exception of a few - very few - songs I can't relate to their music at all and there are cover versions out there that are better than the originals.
I'm happy to see the meh on Coldplay. They're knockoffs of U2 and Radiohead except without the vibrancy of the former, the teeth of the latter and the talent of either. Chris Martin sounds like he's singing from the bottom of a vat of milk.
I like the Dave Matthews Band too. They're musical wallpaper, and I mean that in a good way. I can toss on a disk while doing the dishes and it makes scrubbing pots a happy experience.
I love Clay Aiken. Schlocktacular music but, damn, he's got a killer voice.

Every Red Hot Chili Peppers song sounds the same.
Coldplay and U2 are fantastic, but both of their new albums suck.
Britney Spears, up until Toxic, made hypnotic ear candy that I couldn't resist.
Stevie Nicks' voice could hardly be more irritating!
There... I feel much better.

OK, I enjoy listening to Barry Manilow and John Denver. (Color me OLD.)
I agree about Stevie Nicks - everything she sings sounds like "Sha na na na na na na sha na sha na". She used to be stunning though.
