Barry and Barbra. I love them both. I'm surprised I haven't worn out my Guilty album yet.

Babs and BG are doing another album? This is so great. Guilty and Superman are my two favorite Babs albums.

Amen, Solly79. In my mind, she's Dildo.
I love Bread, as well, dasaky.
God, thank you. I thought it was just me. She's just fucking awful. Old stuff sucks, new stuff sucks. She REEKS. ALL THE TIME.
I am still a sucker for Terence Trent D'Arby. I find him to be insane and loathesome as a person, but Introducing the Hardline.......love it. Not proud of it, but I love it. (Looking over my shoulder to see that no one is watching me type this.....) And throw on some Gerry Rafferty, Paul Davis, or Ambrosia, and I'm happy.
Thank God the internet is anonymous.

Michael McDonald and Ambrosia did a song that I LOVE, I think it is called "Heart and Soul". Love it. If loving Ambrosia- both the band and the fruit salad- is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

Another Barbra duet love - Tell Him, with Celine Dion. Two divas, one song, great! The product of the Titanic hype was that all my friends and I bought Celine's album (although I bought it before the hype because I like Celine). I have friends who are indie rock kids now, but they will still sing that song on occasion.

Green Day sucks. There, I said it. I'm sick of their whiny ass lyrics and their whiny ass videos. I totally am with you guys on the Sheryl Crowe thing. I liked a couple of her older albums but now, yuck. A newpaper critic once said that for years, Sheryl has sounded like a singer who remakes other people's much better songs. And I totally agree with that fellow now. The more Coldplay I hear, the worse and worse it gets. And the lead singer? Fug. Now this may be my upbringing or something but I despise almost all rap. I hate the songs about 'ho's and the videos with nothing but shiny stuff and boob-tacular women everywhere. I hate the whining and bitching that goes on in those songs. For better or for worse, I am the kind of person who thinks that no matter how rough your beginnings or your life has been, you can over come it. And whining about it just makes you less interesting to me. And Nirvana is massively massively overrated. (probably the whining thing too).

I don't get Radiohead. I like Creep but pretty much everything else seems so bland and boring. Especially their most critically acclaimed albums.

I like Ashlee Simpson. The pro-tooled shreiking? The lyrics about being in the 'shadow' of her sister? Even the SNL incident didn't stop me from buying the CD.
Sheryl Crow-post Globe Sessions. She dropped the story-like songs which is what I liked about her in the first place. And when she did ("Picture"), the result was lame.
The Beatles -- I really don't get why this band is so glorified. Their songs are considered sacred and uncoverable. But they are so uncoverable, not because they are the bestest pop songs eva! But because the songs are stuck in the era they were made in and aren't versatile.
Kanye West - Every year rap needs a new hot thing who is supposedly better than what's on the radio. This year it's Kanye. Not to mention, he has a huge, insufferable ego.

Green Day sucks. There, I said it. I'm sick of their whiny ass lyrics and their whiny ass videos. A big fat word to that. They did not save rock 'n' roll despite what Rolling Stone or Entertainment Weekly said (I forget which one).
