OH, and here's a song whose title and group i know, BUT i along with many others can't seem to track it down anywhere. It was featured in Sex and the City, and the bit i heard was instrumental, the rest of it may or may nto have words, i dunno, and it has been identified on an SATC website as 'Wayward Pup' by The Satellites, on the CD Goodbye Exotica. But when i do a net search for this nothing comes up!! Even in this age of the internet when the most obscure shit is available. What kills me is that this can't even be that obscure - it was featured on a hit show and did not go unnoticed, as on that website, a few others had also asked about it. How can it leave no trace on the internet???

I just heard this when I went to lunch and now I want to buy it and don't know what it is. I think the singer was Ella Fitzgerald or Nina Simone? (Someone older) and the lyrics went, "if that's not love then it'll have to do until something better comes along." I've googled it and nothing comes up. If anyone can help me, I'll send you mental hugs and cookies.

Cupcake Kid, I think the song you're thinking of is "Until the Real Thing Comes Along," which was co-written by the great Sammy Cahn. Some of the lyrics are:

Good news..."Do You Love Me?" and "Cry To Me" are both on the Dirty Dancing soundtrack...but they are on the second volume entitled More Dirty Dancing. I spent an embarrassing amount of time singing along to these soundtracks in my parent's basement as a kid.
